The server kept pushing us against the dish we ordered since it got sent back often and recommended another dish, which was not good. He said the pork belly had an "al pastor" quality which didn't make sense to me since they are two different cuts of meat. Anyway he also said it was very flavorful and it was not. Second time at Haya for dinner. Overall, it's a great date spot and we will be back. Our server was terrific, the noise level in the main dining room was ok, and the food was pretty good although with slightly small portions. Where things have fallen off; menu is more limited and several terrific options like the fish encased in banana leaf, are no longer available. The dinner was delicious. I had the short rib, and it was so deliciously done that my mouth was watering for the next bite. The brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes complimented the meal very well. Fabiola delivered a great amount of information on both the signature drinks and the meal. Fantastic waiter. The ambiance seen in the online pictures does not do this restaurant justice.
