As a former regular customer, we recently returned and there were some very clear food quality problems. The wait staff was argumentative instead of apologetic for the problems. No mention of comping part of the meal or anything like that like one would expect. Almost seemed like they were somehow afraid of telling the kitchen anything negative. So sorry to see that this place went downhill :(

Undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Tampa! Unparalleled service, food, and atmosphere. I literally make sure to go at least twice a month. If you're looking for authentic Nepalese food this is a must.

If you're Nepali and trying to go there ! Please don't unless you wanna damage your tastebud. I paid 20+ for thali and I will prolly stop eating thali for rest of my life. Man everything are overpriced for what you get. Waiter was really nice and welcoming though. Thumbs up for that.

Finally! Nepali food!Like the landscape, people, and culture, the flavors come together here uniquely, like no other place on earth. We ordered the Nepalese Khaja set appetizer, and immediately I was enchanted with the flavors of the aloo bodi tama soup: a rich smokiness with the black-eyed peas, earthiness of the bamboo shoot, and the melange of spice-infused broth provided the grounding comfort I didn't know I needed. We also started with Chilli chicken momos- perfect blend of heat and spice (pictured) I can't wait to bring friends and order all of the momos to sample. For dessert, we had the rabari (milk pudding). This is not pictured, because my husband and I immediately consumed it as soon as it hit the table. It has a rich milk curd flavor, with dried fruits, nuts and scented with delicate cardamom and saffron flavors. We will return to have a proper thali and sample more from the menu. I wish them much success so they can open another location in St. Pete!

We used Uber eats - Gorkhali was good the first two times. However it is obvious we fell victim to “shrinkflation” as their portions were rather tiny yet I am still paying an average of 18 to 25 dollars per order. I can’t even split the food amongst four people without completely running out and ended up on the short end of 150 bucks. The food is good but the portions are so small it’s definitely not a place I would order from again. Third time was the worst.

Fantastic experience here. Food was packed full of flavor and spice and cooked to perfections. Our waiter was courteous and attentive and offered a lot of suggestions and guidance when ordering. We drove a ways to eat here and it was well worth the trip.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian dishes on the menu.

The taste of momos is great.. but for $11, they should give at least 10 momos. One should feel a bit full after eating.

This place specializes in Nepali/Himalayan cuisine, with some overlap with Indian dishes.Chili Momo:Momo resembles dumplings, and in the past, my friends brought a bunch of tools from home to make them. You can choose chicken or veggie filling. The chili is genuinely spicy, so if you're cautious with heat, be careful. They seem to be pan-fried, and they're best eaten hot for a crispier texture.Himalayan Meal/Thaali:rice, veggies, cold potato salad (tangy), yogurt, and your choice of veggies/chicken/lamb, served in multiple small bowls on one platter, which looks quite fun. Gorkhali chicken and Himalayan Jimbu chicken, are quite popular here. They claim the main difference is the addition of herbs, but I couldn't discern much variation. Personally, I find it quite similar to Indian masala/curry dishes. Perhaps I'd prefer lamb curry; sometimes chicken at Indian or Southeast Asian restaurants lacks flavor or tends to be dry.Rabri:A milk pudding flavored with cardamom, saffron, and nuts. It might be a bit sweet, but it's quite tasty. Today's highlight. The restaurant is pretty clean, and the service is good, but it's odd how they kept staring at me for a tip.
