Recommended dishes: Gyro Wrap Spanakopita, Greek Salad
Visited the restaurant for lunch, the only thing authentic was the music playing from the phone. Not the cleanest in appearance- peeling wall paper and dirty water-stained tiles. Having lived in Greece, there are certain flavors, dishes and seasonings that are specific to the cuisine. The Gyro (year-ro) bread tasted store bought, shoe-string fries (a step above burnt), chicken seemed pre-packaged and warmed up, and the Greek salad was nowhere near Greek. The waitress was very pleasant as well as the cashier. My guess is the reviews are from the locals that frequent the restaurant on a regular basis. Disappointed…?

The Good: The service! Only had one waitress however she did a phenomenal job servicing a lunch-hour crowded restaurant very efficiently. If not for the service, my review would be a one star review.
The Bad: The food! This was the most bland and horribly tasting “Greek food” I’ve ever eaten. I had a simple chicken gyro platter with fries. The fries were severely overcooked. The gyro was bland with a very basic tzatziki sauce. I think the chicken was microwaved but uncertain. Terrible.

Incredible food & great service, the breakfast is the best. Try the Greek yogurt, it’s unlike any you’ve tried.
Small and fine Greek on the island. We took the water taxi there and walked the short distance. The food was very tasty and fresh. The prices are not typical for Tampa. Very friendly and attentive service.

Just a wonderful place to eat. Stopped in just as they were opening. Wasn't expecting a breakfast menu. Disappointed at first but the food was delicious. The absolute best French toast we have ever had. Really enjoyed eating out on the sidewalk. A relaxing beautiful atmosphere. The inside looked very cozy & clean. Aleene is the queen of customer service. She was friendly, efficient, and handled several tables at once making everyone think they were the only customer there.

Grecian Island Restaurant was fair to good. The service was friendly, with no complaints. The best of the entrees was the Hummus Grecian Platter. The presentation, freshness of ingredients and flavor, was excellent. The Chicken Gyro was big in portions, yet underwhelming in flavor. It looked good, but simply did not deliver in taste. Perhaps it was due to the dull tzatziki sauce. Regardless, the experience was decent.

Excellent customer service. Charming family run spot. The Greek salad is great, the Greek gyro platter is phenomenal. I also enjoyed their breakfast . 3-4 times I’ve been here and consistently good!

Lots of good reviews but for us, after a few tries, both food and service have been average.
