Wanted to stop by and support my fellow Dominicans. Sadly disappointed. I had the chicharrón de pollo (fried chicken) and it was lacking in flavor largely, also still had a decent amount of feathers. And came with some tostones. For the price and portion it should come with at least two sides. Like arroz con gondulas or rice n beans and plátano maduro. You’re missing a huge market with flavor combinations within our culture. Portion and flavor needs a lot of work. I have watched so many businesses go from food truck to restaurant over the years. And I believe with adjustments they will have huge success.

Went for the 2nd time. Food was good, made to order. Service is amazing. If you enjoy time outside and good food go here.
Kid-friendliness: It is fun and nice for kids to eat outside in the picnic tables

The level of disrespect and arrogance is incredible. The music was too loud. I asked twice to turn the music down and the owner literally told me in the rudest way: “Do whatever you want, I'm not going to turn the music down.” This lack of respect is unacceptable and I will never return to this place. The arrogance of one of the food trucks is affecting the other businesses, so I will never return to this place. Completely unpleasant and unprofessional.

So third time was not the charm unfortunately. We’ve had issues on our two previous visits. As much as we wanted to love it , they didn’t allow us to. First time our fried pork was sour which means the meat went bad, second time they were out of chimis a few hours before close so glad to hear they sold out I guess… months later we gave them another shot… chicken empanada had a 1/4 amount of chicken the rest was nothing but a lot of air…. Chimi de pierna (pork) and the pork was super salty, I let them know and the lady acknowledged but didn’t offer an alternative or refund, not giving them another try as much as we wanted to help our fellow Dominicans

They get an extra star because the food did have good flavor. However, we were charged $30 for two chicharrones (fried pork belly). I don’t mind paying for good food but with most of it being extra fatty and the small portions it was underwhelming to say the least, and definitely not worth the price, for an extra $15 we got an oversized platter of food that fed 4 people in the truck right next to this one.

Hello, my name is Ian, I received the restaurant's flyer on Instagram and it caught my attention. I dared, and came from Lakeland with my family….oh! Surprise!! The chimis are exquisite, the juices? Mortals!! I almost missed the third Chimi until I heard my wife's wise voice. We agreed to come back and we came back but not alone… we brought one more, one more family, the Durans!! We adore them and the impression and satisfaction was exceptional!! If you want to "levitate" while you eat, go to Hasta la tumbara and you will live the experience. Best Chimi in Florida.
