We go here often. We love the food. Unfortunately the service is not great.One instance my son found a long black hair in his food.I came here yesterday with a big order that I called in ahead of time. When we got there, they had no record of it.I asked for ( and was willing/ expecting to pay extra for) cheese on my salad.After I paid I was checking my food and there was no cheese on it.I went up to ask about it and she said " we don't put it on". I said " I understand that but I requested it in the order". She said I wasn't charged and it would be additional money. I got my card out to pay for it and she said there was a 5$ minimum ( after I just spent 50$) and would not allow me to purchase the cheese.This is absolutely horrible service, she lost a regular customer over ONE dollar.

Was nice. Not the greatest thing but Good and good price. Beans good, rice was cooked well but no flavor. Papusas are very tasty, the best part was the cabbage that came with that on the side. I ordered no lettuce on my flautas so I guess that means no cheese sauce.. ok.

I went for 8 tacos and the lady who served us had terrible service if they don't want to work why are they there... the roast beef was too browned and their sauces I would give it a 5 out of 10 I won't return ?

Considering Taco trucks in Mid-Town Tampa, there's a lot of competition. With a menu palette of essentially four ingredients, standing out is a challenge.ButGiven the right location, the right quality of those four ingredients, and the right portions, standing out is doable.So I recommend Hectors Mexican Food truck because the location is right (for me), the portions are exactly what you want for the price (perhaps even generous considering other trucks at the price point), and the quality is outstanding.But it is important to note a sign they have over the window: it's fresh food, not fast food. Be prepared to enjoy a shaded outdoor patio, that if had cornhole, would be perfect.
