Small seafood market with eatery. We decided to dine in and have a late lunch. I went with the recommended grouper sandwich, and my wife had the poke bowl. Absolutely outstanding!!! Fresh quality seafood. Thick cut local grouper at an excellent price. Super fresh tuna and assorted toppings on the poke bowl. Seafood in the display case looked amazing fresh. Fantastic experience, I look forward to returning.

My reason to visit this spot was purely instinctive, the Heights area is blossoming with new and interesting venues and Heights Seafood offers palatable and flavorsome fare.Howie was behind the counter and talked about the business as he prepared my food. I ordered the Lobster Sandwich, succulent and crispy, and some Conch Fritters, distinctive and savory. My tummy was happy happy. What I learned is that it's a good idea to ask what's new in the case because new items from around the world are brought in on a regular basis. That means that in addition to the regular menu items, specials abound. Of course that includes seasonal items. It's a small place with friendly patrons, great food, various sundries and fresh seafood sold cooked or raw. Love the decor and laid back homey ambiance. There is counter or table seating inside. Parking was on the side. Come get you some!

Can I give this place 10 stars! To start the owner is the nicest and more accommodating person! He knows his seafood!!! The crab cake was probably one of the best I've ever had! Everything was so fresh. Absolutely will be back here!!!

Tampa Bay - you MUST dine or get some carryout from this wonderful gem of a privately-owned seafood business in Tampa on N. Florida avenue!Howie is a master seafood preparer, and you can get carryout and fresh seafood to prepare for yourselves. We ate there last night, and took home some more fish spread and HUGE scallops. We highly recommend The Heights Seafood Company - right across the street from Trips Diner.

The food, service and ambiance was great! Definitely felt the island vibe. Love the mural! We had the lobster San which, the lion fish, fried with a watermelon salsa, and the alligator/pork hotdog! Everything was presented beautifully and tasted fresh! What a great place to have lunch! One man show and he definitely put love into the food he was preparing! Others who were seated were pleased with their meals as well!

My sister and I were in town for family business and came across this hidden gem, after searching reviews. We arrived at opening but they don't serve lunch until an hour later. The owner was very accommodating and whipped up some free appetizers and some salmon jerky, which were to die for.I really wanted fresh seafood while is Florida and thankfully Heights Seafood didn't disappoint. We ordered fried grouper and shrimp, which literally melted in our mouths. It came with an Asian slaw, which was a pleasant surprise. The conch fritters were piping hot & really good. They reminded me of my trip to Grand Cayman. To the owner, thanks for being so flexible and whipping us up an amazing meal.

This is how a small business should run- I couldn't find it, called the business, and the owner answered- he explained where it was. I found it, and he asked me what looked good in the case- he told a story about where each fish came from, and some was caught the day before. I told him I liked scallops- he whipped up a beautiful meal for me! So fresh and good!

Came to this seafood market/eatery for lunch on a Saturday. When I arrived there were no other patrons however as I was getting my food served, several small groups came in and it got pretty busy since the owner is the only person preparing the food, working the register, answering the phone, etc. The owner was very nice and welcoming, very chatty and full of stories. Everything they serve is gluten free, in other words the breading used for the conch fritters and the fried lobster tail sandwich as well as the buns are gluten free. I didn't think this was an issue nor did it alter the flavor of the food in a negative way. I thought the fritters were good with lots of conch meat and not just breading as a filler. The owner recommended to go with the fried lobster tail for my sandwich, instead of blackened, which is usually not something I'd go for but it turned out to be pretty good. The lobster tails in the sandwich were rather small (especially for the price, $33) but the flavors were good and the breading was not heavy or oily.

Family owned fresh catch spot DDD spot or should be. Owner was so helpful/attentive... rest of family off so a little slow on service. Only 15 or so dine in seats, but delicious food,,, a little pricey ($40/per) but WELL worth it!!!

My husband and I agree, this was one of the best meals of our life. Everything was fresh, perfectly prepared and the flavors were truly amazing. We arrived before the dinner crowd and the timing was perfect. We had conch fritters, so delicious with a little spicy heat in the mix, gorgeous oysters on the half shell, some were prepared with quail egg, a little ponzu and seaweed, so incredibly divine, perfectly prepared ahi with seaweed, citrus ponzu dip, ginger and jasmine rice and finally swordfish blackened with a light, savory sauce that had fresh tomatoes. The fish was so fresh that some of it arrived after we were seated. My husband is a chef and a man of few words but he went on and on about the perfect flavors and preparation of our meal. The portions were big and prices were very reasonable. We will be back.
