I ordered the southern catfish with home fries with eggs. It was fantastic. One of the best catfish I have ever had. Flavor on everything was spot on. One thing that would put this place over the top would be fresh squeezed OJ. And more locations. We drove 30 minutes to try it did not disappoint at all.

The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor, and the service was just as impressive—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Everything came out fresh and perfectly prepared. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish—I’ll definitely be coming back!

The lemon ricotta pancakes were light, fluffy, and bursting with flavor, and the pork belly benedict was absolutely delicious—rich, perfectly cooked, and so satisfying.

Another fine breakfast option. Food is yummy and coffee is very good. Usually busy but not too long a wait.

Very crowded on a weekend with tables and parking being extremely limited. The food was okay -- nothing spectacular. I have heard a lot of great things about Himes so I wanted to try it. The pancakes were a little gummy/pale and didn't come with eggs or bacon and only came with 2 pancakes which was disappointing. The eggs and bacon were cooked well.

Overall, I would prefer Trip's diner for breakfast/brunch for better quality/quantity. You are not missing much. The popularity of this establishment may speak to the fact that South Tampa needs more competing brunch spots!

I do not understand what is popular with this restaurant. Our food was extremely subpar and at best average. Home-fries were undercooked, biscuit was extremely dried, pancakes were not cooked all the way through and not worth $12 for 2 pancakes (regular size) without any sides included. Overall, it is an interesting social phenomenon as to why this place is so busy with cramped noisy limited seating on the inside and 1 hour wait times on the weekends with barely any parking. Quality wise you could get a better brunch at ihop, dennys, or letting your 6 year old cook at home (with supervision of course).

Definitely have to check this place out, they have the best French toast, Nutella crunch and banana. My mom tried their country fried biscuit item and love their gravy. Also our waitress was amazing and so were they hostess. Check this place out.

The food was absolutely amazing. It was Sunday brunch time and they were slammed, so we definitely felt rushed at the table.

Solid breakfast place, food was good/average. Good omelette, great size, grits good and buttery, made well. Biscuit and toast average. Pancake had a good flavor, enjoyed it, very dense and large, not very fluffy, so very filling, but again good flavor, so worth ordering. Service was average, location was clean and good amount of parking. With three locations, I will most definitely return for breakfast. There were other special items on the menu I will need to try next time like their shrimp and grits.

Himes Breakfast House was a win all around. The Lumberjack Bowl was hearty and delicious, and the lemon ricotta pancakes were light and flavorful. The cozy interior has a warm, welcoming vibe, and the service was friendly and quick. Definitely coming back.

As always, the acoustics in the restaurant are horrible and need immediate improvement!! My Lumberjack Bowl was listed as having lots of meats with potatoes and gravy topped with an egg done your way. It should be listed as a potato bowl with very little meat and only a very small spoon of gravy off to one side!! The blueberry pancakes were just pancakes with a few blueberries scattered on the top... not my idea of pancakes with blueberries infused. That's real blueberry pancakes!! Staff was very congenial, but seemed to be very pushy, trying to get us out of there once we were close to finishing eating!! Prices are still fair but seemed to be suffering from shrink-flation!! No problems that can't be corrected... but this restaurant has fallen from my favorite breakfast spot to one that now is just OK!!!

I visited today (Sunday morning) and was disappointed by the service. We were approached by different waiters and support staff repeatedly as soon as we finished eating so that we could pay and leave. I wasn’t even able to finish my juice or coffee before we were legit rushed out of the place. They interrupted our conversation numerous times to take away items from the table and it became uncomfortably obvious they wanted us to leave. The food was very good but I wouldn’t return because we just weren’t able to enjoy the brunch. Also, do not street park - a ton of cars were towed while I was there.
