So I ate dosa and medhu vada. Out of this dosa and sambhar was really good, I can vouch for that. But, they clearly don’t know how to make medhu vada for sure, it doesn’t taste like a normal medhu vada which is made up of urad dal. The vada there doesn’t even have the taste of urad dal (looks like they add less urad dal and more some other flour) It’s can be called as some other vada, not medhu vada. This happened twice when I ate from there. Also, not so good behavior with the customers, kinda rude most of the time. It doesn’t feel that we are paying for the food.

!! STALE FOOD ALERT !!
Look at the response from Hindu Temple when stale food is reported. After concerned is raised, they do not bother to check what happened, how food get stale within 4 hour after delivered.
As catering service the ordered potato curry was gone bad by 8pm after it was picked up at 4pm from temple, didn't sustained for 4 hours itself. After pickup food was kept in Air condition all the time till it was opened for event food dinner at 7pm.
Food was for a Ganesh Poojan event where 30 families withs kids ate the food. Everyone now knows even Hindu Temple is serving a food which can not sustain for 4 hours in Air Conditioned Env.
No disrespect to ALL VOLUNTARING AT CANTEEN but objective should be to serve good food to all devotees ???

Worst service and they dont have patience at all. We waited in the queue to order food for 40mins once reached to the counter they are asking to wait for 30mins to just take the order. Why would we waste our time just standing in the long line. When we questioned them the response from them is very rude.

Amazing authentic South indian vegetarian cuisine and very welcoming volunteers in the canteen. Best samosa and mango lassi in Tampa. 100% recommend, though be respectful on religious grounds.

Clean and predominantly south Indian canteen that serves delicious food. The dosas and bisibele bath were amazing! The place does get crowded and seating is limited. The line to order also gets long and time consuming.
Vegetarian options: Since it is a hindu temple, the menu is all vegetarian. Some options are vegan too.

We think the kitchen has recently changed staff and the dosas are phenomenal! Also the kurma is delicious, made with coconut milk. We ordered a samosa and it was tasty not oily. Masala dosa is the best but very spicy so you could also get the plain dosa. Dosas only served during the week but full menu on Saturday and Sunday. Vada is just ok. The prices are good compared to an Indian restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024-01-03
