No food, but i love homemade coffee syrups, and the banana was just what I needed. Welcoming and comfortable. Had what u needed to finish my Classwork! Would go again!

Had a great visit, ordered the Café con Leche iced, and also tried a hot latte. Both were flavorful drinks and the service was great. The staff was friendly and offered wonderful suggestions. Atmosphere is pretty laid back, encourages both a laid back and social environment.

Was shopping In downtown ybor wanted to try a café i haven’t been to. So I chose to give this place a try. I really liked the coffee, but the barista was really rude to me, but seem to be fine with everyone else. Not a good sign I was the only person of color in there at the time. Seems purposeful..

HotWax Coffee Shop & Tap House is an absolute gem in the area! The atmosphere is awesome—a perfect mix of cozy coffeehouse vibes and modern tap house energy. It’s the kind of spot where you can settle in with a laptop, catch up with friends, or just relax and enjoy the laid-back, welcoming feel.

The coffee here is excellent, but the café con leche is next-level. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, it’s easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Their baristas clearly know their craft, and you can taste the care they put into every cup. On top of that, they offer a great selection of beers on tap if you’re in the mood for something different, making it a perfect all-day hangout.

The combination of incredible drinks, friendly staff, and an inviting atmosphere makes HotWax a must-visit whether you’re a coffee lover, a craft beer fan, or just looking for a cool spot to unwind. I can’t wait to come back for another café con leche and to soak in more of this amazing space!

The kratom here is the best in the city and the employees are so knowledgeable. So many awesome patrons as well. I’ve been coming here a while and know that every time I come in here, I’ll be surrounded with awesome vibes. It’s really what you make of it as well. If you want to come in and just get some work done you can, or if you want to come and socialize about whatever, you can. They have a great selection of games and it’s located right on the strip in Ybor. Shoutout to curt and saint, my fav kavatenders here. 10/10 highly recommend.(also it’s dog friendly! If you’re anything like me if there’s a dog in the room it’s automatically better vibes :3)

Very cool spot with friendly staff. Once in a while you get a tour of morons who come in to use the bathroom, but otherwise a great vibe and solid place to get out of Ybor City heat.

Might be the worst smokeshop I’ve ever been to. Literally out of stock of almost everything pretty much all the time. Absolutely insanely high prices when they actually do have things in stock. Go to literally any other smokeshop possible before this one. Edit: this was obviously meant for the smokeshop that your “coffee shop” is literally connected to with the same name smfh. Didn’t know I had to clarify that.

This place was SO cool, it's not really like any other kava spot I've been to before. It gave pub vibes in the best way. The drinks are STRONG. The bartender (I forgot her name but she has red hair) was so sweet. The little nook seating was so great for people watching. Can't wait to come back by!

Hot wax is my go toooooooo! I love this place so very much. They have a great smoke shop, and a great Kava bar atmosphere. This is the strongest Kava and Kratom that I have ever had, I wouldn’t have it anywhere else. It’s solid, the flavors are vast and the people are a lot of fun :)
