Just happened to pass his neighborhood today and stopped here. The service was wonderful and the food excellent, however the Cafe con leche was off da chain! Definitely would stop again!
From my understanding this is the granddaughter of Willie who owned Willie's Place on 21st Street not related to Uncle Willie's that was further down 22nd Street I used to always get these places confused but I used to love that sandwich from Willie's Place when I worked at the Port Authority and my father had a lot of great stories when he was a dredge welder going to the other Willys Uncle Willie's and of course everybody has memories of going to Stoney's...
Not sure what has happened here but this morning I ordered biscuits and gray and corned beef hash. She put it in one of those little single containers. Hardly enough gravy for 1 biscuit let alone 2,a little bit of hash and charged $9. I should have said something but I didn't, my bad.. The last couple of times I've been here for breakfast it seems to take longer to get a sandwich, the girls don't do a very good job of getting food to you in order. I realize somethings...
