I was in the city and googled conch fritters near me and this restaurant was recommended. The cashier was very hospitable and warm with everyone who entered. You can tell this place is loved by locals; however, I was disappointed with my purchase. I ordered conch fritters and fries and it was prepared beautifully. They were large and golden brown. Unfortunately, they were mostly fritter with veryyy little conch. Out of 10 fritters 5 had no conch inside and the other 5 barely had any. I understand that the likelihood of them being stuffed full of conch is unlikely, but they’re basically hush puppies—not conch fritters. I also ordered brown stew chicken and while it was hot—it did not taste fresh. It tasted as though it was reheated from the fridge. I also expected more flavor since it is a Jamaican dish. I did enjoy the Haitian beef patty along with the pickliz and sauce! I would come back to try the other patty flavors.

Best thing about this place was the nice person who took my order. Everything else was horrible. I ordered curry goat with rice & peas and green beans. The rice & peas was more like Cuban Congri. The green beans were hard with no flavor. THE CURRY GOAT WAS THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD!!!! It was reddish and spicy, which reminded me more of Indian curry instead of Jamaican curry. If I didn't live so far, I would've brought this trash right back to them and demanded a refund. I hate throwing away food; but, the trash is the only place that food belonged. NEVER AGAIN! If you want Jamaican food, spend a little more at the well-known staples. Too bad Jamaica Jamaica wasn't open; otherwise, I would've went there. smh

The service was awful. I ordered some food online and they sent the wrong order twice. I called the restaurant to make a complaint. The cashier told me they were out of one of the items I had ordered. He told me that he tried to call my number about my order, but the business number was nowhere on my phone.
