It pains me to write this, as I have never written a negative review about a business before.
I love supporting small local businesses and was so excited to try this place after hearing great reviews from coworkers and exploring every inch of their website. My friend and I arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday (website states they close at 2p). We were immediately met with frustration from a very frazzled owner the moment we walked in the door, stating we were the last people she would serve and only coffee (no food). Confused, we asked if they were closing early. The owner replied yes, that she was performing at 1p and already late to set up her equipment. There was no sign on the door or elsewhere that they would be closing early. I’ve never been made to feel like my business is an inconvenience before, so we went elsewhere and won’t be back.

I wanted "extra hot" small latte....she made it with previously heated milk then double steamed the milk and coffee with the wand again....when you do that to milk, it tastes rancid....I should have said something!! tasted gross and please, for over $5 bucks and a tip, PLEASE use fresh milk.

What a charming coffee shop (and bed and breakfast). Run by a woman named Jessica, she creates a friendly, safe space. Inside a large house in Hyde Park, order one of their many coffee drinks and breakfast food and sit outside in the front yard or on their porch. If it's too muggy outside, eat inside where there's AC.
I ordered their quiche, which changes every day, and a Cafe Con Leche (espresso with sweetened condensed milk). The quiche itself was large, but needed a bit more salt to draw out the flavors. The fresh fruit it came with was perfect.
If you want a great start to your day, visit Jessica's cafe. It's worth a visit!

We love Jessica and Jet city ! It’s such a gem! The coffee is amazing and the food is farm fresh. There is a great outdoor little area where you can sit and chat and relax. She also sells candles and oils that are all very clean products. Love this place so much !

This is an adorable hole-in-wall coffee shop with great food options. The owner is charming and makes all of her own candles, body sprays, essential oils, other goodies. There are indoor and outdoor seating options. There are homemade scones, great signature drink options. At first we couldn’t find it turning off of S Boulevard (use the street parking on Edison), definitely worth it and recommend!
continuing on my coffee journey, the ambiance is nothing short of magical. it is very welcoming, truly a beacon of community spirit. I tried a new latte with orange and honey and was pleasantly surprised considering I am strictly an iced vanilla latte girl, I can't wait to try more.
