Went in for onigiri which are my favorite and I haven’t been able to find any since coming back from Japan. I ordered 4 and a bottle of tea. $25 for that! I at least thought if it was that overpriced maybe they’re doing something right. Nope. The rice was old and dry, the seaweed was soggy and there are barely any filling at all. Will not be going back. Such a ripoff

Excellent place, delicious food. This is my first time trying the beef bowl here. It was amazing. And the rice ball—I don’t remember its name—but it was great too. I’ll be back to try the other dishes they have. Five stars, no doubt.

Extremely disappointing service! I called at 2:35 PM to place an order for pickup, and the person who answered the phone was not only rude but seemed uninterested in helping. When I asked about fried rice, he laughed and sarcastically reminded me that this was a Chinese restaurant. He then abruptly hung up on me. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the business. It’s no wonder they’re rarely open—I won’t be returning.

If any of you all are in downtown for lunch, this spot on the corner is a great little Japanese spot with some really good food. I highly recommend. And will definitely be coming back to try the other stuff on the menu!

I purchased 4 Onigiris. They were ok. The prices were high, too.
I came by today specifically for the Onigiri and they were, unfortunately, out. I had driven from Bradenton for one of these amazing rice balls, but was fine driving away empty-handed because I understood they sell out of these delicious hand-made treats. The owner had the chef whip me up a Tuna and Mayo Onigiri real quick, and I have to say it was one of the best quick foods I've ever had. I will 100% be back. Thank you so much for taking the time to make it for me!!

I used to live in Japan, and as far as their offerings, it feels like a little bento shop, with onigiri and dishes you can grab-and-go. Authentically Japanese, but I gave it 4 stars because the prices are a tad high. I still get their food sometimes as a treat when I am downtown sometimes.

I ordered for the first time and LOVE IT!!!Japanese Beef Curry - the taste of Curry is actually very juicy and mouthful pairing with Rice. I also have little plum pickle on the side as you could see in the picture.Shumai - Chewy Chewy! And Yummy Yummy. You should try this out too. ?Whenever you’re craving for Authentic Japanese Food. Check Junmai Station out’!!! ??
