Best poke bowls in Tampa!!! The ahi tuna is melt in your mouth delicious. My go to concoction = 1/2 arugula, 1/2 sushi rice, ahi tuna, edamame, avocado, cucumber and spicy mayo. It’s so fresh and so, so yummy!

I’m beyond disappointed with how this place has changed. Ive been coming here since high school, and it’s sad to see how much the management and staff have declined over the years—it’s just not the same experience it used to be.
Not only were the employees rude, but I also had to wait an extra 25 minutes for an order that was supposed to be a quick pickup. To make matters worse, after making me wait, one of the employees went out of her way to charge me 80 cents for a sauce. If you’re that behind and overwhelmed, maybe focus on the actual orders rather than nickel-and-diming loyal customers.
The girl at the register—young, with dark hair—was especially unprofessional. Please train your staff better. This experience was a complete letdown and a waste of my time.

We just had a fantastic sushi dinner experience here at Kelp sushi ! Foodwise: definitely the freshest sushi/sashimi we have had in Tampa -- everything was really well plated, and beautifully presented. Definitely try the Wakame salad!!! Drinks were delicious too - the gimlet was top notch! Service: the servers were extremely attentive even as the restaurant filled up to capacity. The atmosphere was perfect- you could still easily carry a conversation across the table, but seating is limited so plan ahead if you have a large party. Keep up the good work - We will definitely be back :)

I don't even remember eating here before.
Found this place online and enjoyed that they showed gluten free and gluten free modifications on their menu. Went there for lunch with my partner. The kitchen prep area takes up half the restaurant. So the seated area is narrow. There's also one unisex bathroom. We both ordered miso soup to start and water. I ordered a specialty roll with tuna and Ebi and a classic Florida roll with no avocado or cream cheese as well as an order of hamachi nigiri. My partner ordered a specialty roll and two classic rolls with an order of noodle soup. The miso was lukewarm and I didn't care for the yum yum sauce, but everything else was good.

Really nice place for sushi. The spicy salmon bites were the highlight for me and the rolls. The fish feels fresh and delicious. Would definitely come back.
Ordered 2 pick two specials, didn’t receive either of the appetizers that come with them. Ordered the tuna crispy rice , never received that either.
Made the order for pickup, even left a tip, and didn’t receive over half my order. Only got the sushi rolls and the lemonade. Spent my entire lunch break just on the commute to and from, to be extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I never have a problem with the waters Tampa location, and the first time I give the south Tampa location a chance, they excuse it because of “new staff”. Unprofessional to say the least. Not happy with my experience today.

Pretty Good - We had Spicy Tuna & Spicy Hamachi rolls, Ginger & Seaweed salads, a tuna nigiri. All were “pretty good.” Tuna nigiri was very large – tasty but difficult to eat. Was hard to tell the difference between the spicy tuna and spicy hamachi – the latter supposed to be “fatty & creamy.” Seaweed salad was light on seaweed compared to celery. Prices are fair. Servoce was a little slow, despite only 3 other people in the place.
