Best chicken pimento sandwich in town! Fun place to go to eat. Menu is well done! Loving the open air conditioned patio and corn hole. Nice staff!

Really good chicken! There are games to play while waiting for your food.

I love the atmosphere and the employees I interacted with were nice. But before going there I looked up the menu and I was looking at an out of date menu. So I was disappointed about not being able to get a large Mac n cheese no Chicken Qtrs. And I got by all that. But the only sauce to choose from is the King sauce which I'm not crazy about. This was the biggest disappointment. I mean every one that does tenders have sides of sauce if you prefer to dip and not have your chicken swimming in sauce. But they offer no sauces at all which I think is horrible. For that alone I won't go back. There's too many chicken tender places that offer what I want. (Chicken Guy)The food is good but not great. The tenders were a generous size but just good average as far as the flavor or cook or whatever. Just average. Not bad but average and therefore overpriced. For 2- 3 tender meals and 2 sides of Mac n cheese and a side of coleslaw (very below average like mayo and cabbage) $44.00. That's about $14.00 too much in my opinion. The place is cool though. Cool atmosphere and logos are cool and the staff is good. So if you don't mind overpaying for average food in a cool atmosphere then it may be a great place for you to check out. But remember no sides of sauce so you'll have to bring your own to be able to dip here. (Other than King Sauce).

Crispy fried chicken with a kick, definitely worth checking

Today I had the fowler fries they were awesome but if you were to add coleslaw it would be even better.

Joe, the owner, was so polite and took his time to explain everything to us and tell us about his new spot! Shuffle board, bocce ball courts, plenty of spots to sit and hangout. Food was amazing. Will tell all my friends to come here.

So glad to see King of the Coop back home in Seminole Heights. Been a fan since the Soul Food Street Kitchen food truck days. Huge flavor, huge portions, and real attention to quality. Everything is made fresh: chicken is juicy with a great crunch and perfect heat-to-flavor ratio. Fries are hot and crispy. The hush puppies are always worth it, too. On top of it all, they landed a fantastic new spot. Cool vibe, great place to hang out. Can't recommend this place enough.

Fantastic food at a really cool location with air conditioned dining or outside seating under large umbrellas. Enjoyed playing some shuffleboard with some fellow patrons while I waited and the food came out perfectly cooked a short while later. It's the same classic menu, but there's also a healthier grilled chicken option now. I got the Fowl Fries, but the Dirty Bird or King Mac are always great decisions too.

The Coop is back in the Heights and I couldn’t be happier! Same great flavor, same great menu, new location with a perfect outdoor vibe.

I always recommend the Dirty Bird, and I love mine spicy so I go Nashville Hot. The middle of the road is spicy enough for everyone, and Coops Fury is only if you absolutely love spicy foods. The fries are so delicious, and the Coop Juice is a must.

No pic of the food because it was gone that fast. Pictures of the menu so you can see what you’re getting when you show up next!

5 Stars – A Must-Try Spot in Seminole Heights!

Tried King of the Coop for the first time and it did not disappoint! I got the three tender bucket with medium heat and their signature sauce. I’m usually not big on spicy food, but this had the perfect kick—flavorful without being overpowering. The chicken was juicy and well-seasoned, and the portion size was generous. It came with a side of crispy fries, which just added to the whole experience.

The outdoor seating area was a huge bonus—plenty of space and even some fun yard games to play while you eat. It’s got a laid-back vibe that fits perfectly in Seminole Heights. Great food, great atmosphere—10/10 would recommend!

First time at King of the Coop for this new location- and it did not disappoint. Fantastic service, quick and fresh food. And so so delicious. Will definitely return. Great spot for families as well plenty of games and fun things for any age

I have been going to the Coop since their original location in 2019/20. It is just as good - no, BETTER - than it was then. Joe's commitment to great food at a reasonable price is very admirable and can't be taken for granted now adays. Bernard and the rest of the team pump out consistently good chicken, always. We have been to this new location twice now and the food was consistently exceptional both times for me and everyone in my parties.

This time around (4/22/25), we got there as soon as they opened and while we waiting for the food to be freshly made, we took advantage of the fact that they have a ping pong table and cornhole which helped pass the time and are great amenities. They also have multiple shuffleboard courts and bocce ball courts, plenty of fun for family and friends of any age.

I will continue recomending everybody to King of the Coop and stand behind my opinion that it is the best chicken in the Tampa Bay Area.

Congrats on the new location and I wish for continued success for you and your team, Joe!

Been a fan of KOTC since they opened in Seminole Heights years ago - and while they went through some challenging transition years, they are back and better than ever. It's a great fit in this new location- portion sizes are huge - menu has something for everyone. Excited they're within biking distance from me again!

This place is amazing! The tenders are big and juicy. And the Coop’s Fury spice level is HOT. I was very happy about that! The location is convenient and has parking. There are outdoor games to play as well- ping pong, corn hole and others. Will be back for sure!! The owner Joe was a pleasure to talk to and you can understand his passion for his restaurant.
