Kobé Japanese Steakhouse - Tampa

We had the pleasure of having Chef Ty as our cook. He was awesome. He laughed, cracked jokes, full of energy and wanted to make our dinning experience simply the best! He is different from the rest in many ways. We will be asking to sit with again! Keep up the good work Chef Ty!!!

Horrible service. The worst dining experience I have ever had at Kobe. We eat there several times a year and it's often a place we go to celebrate birthdays and special occasions. We sat most of the dinner without drink refills, not acknowledgement from the chef either to get us drinks.

This was a lot of fun! They do seem to keep you on a schedule so it was a little more rushed than we wanted—we were out of there in less than 90 minutes. The meals are pretty expensive but the portions are huge—we had lots of leftovers. The sirloin is tender. The sushi was great and lots of eel on top.

Food and service was good. Reservation was for 5pm. Spent over $225 in less than one hour sitting time. It was way too rushed. So didn't feel I got value for the cost.

We went to celebrate a birthday like everybody seems to do! Lots of birthdays last night. Our waitress was adorable and very accommodating. Our chef was very talented, very funny and the life of the party. Our birthday girl was very, very happy and we all had a great time.

Pros: * our chef was awesome and server was attentive * Salad was refreshing, edamame was great touch * sirloin was cooked well Cons: * soup was salty * veggies were overcooked * teriyaki chicken and noodles were soo salty. Why add so much soy sauce in the sauce?? Overall, expected better quality food for $40. Def not worth $$

The chef was very friendly and put on a good show. Servers were attentive and took extra care to be sensitive to food allergies in the party

We went there to cash in my birthday rewards and were very happy with the experience. Our chef TJ was awesome. One of the best we've ever had. We will definitely ask for him when we come back. 

The food was good as always. The Chef was FANTASTIC!!! He was a great Chef and very friendly.

Always have a good time here for birthday dinners. I just have 2 concerns. 1) we are always crammed into a table where someone has to sit on the corner of the table even with 2 people sitting on the end of the table on either side of the chef. Had a reservation for 13 (have had as many as 16 before) but one cancelled so it was 12 total. We were still at a table that would fit 10 comfortably. There were plenty of other larger tables available. 2) The chef always seems to serve from one side to the other and the guests at the end always seem to get less portions as the first several people get generous helping. My daughter (her birthday) and her friend were at the end and basically got onions and a couple slices of vegetables where everyone else got a good equal portion of onions and vegetables. Same with the rice. By the time the chef got to her and her friend, the portion was much smaller as he was running out. The chef also had to have someone get him more shrimp as he gave one person too many shrimp and my daughter was shorted the correct amount of shrimp she ordered. Food was great. Service was friendly. Just wish the 2 issues above would be corrected as this is our go to place for family birthdays and we always feel cramped and I feel bad for the person or people at one end who don't get the same portion as others but pay the same price.

This place was amazing our chef Steve was hilarious and very creative kept the crowd hyped while he was making our food and we could tell he really enjoys his job

Wow 🤩 what a difference from my previous visit 1 week ago! Hats off to Kobe for listening to their customers! Everything was spot on! The Food was Delicious per usual and the service was extremely good! Employees were swift to pick up dirty dishes, refill drinks and meet the needs of the customers!! Outstanding! Thanks for the reminder of why you guys are so GREAT! See you soon!!!

Food and service was very good. Similar experience to Benihana but didn't have to drive to Orlando. Definitely will dine there again.

I've been to a lot of Hibachi Grills. Koto surpassed all expectations. One of my best experiences. Food & service was excellent.

The food was ok. Nothing great. The entire experience seemed very rushed. I get the need to turn tables but 60 minutes from start to walking out was it. Definitely no chance to relax.
