This local wine shop is a true gem, conveniently located near our home. The selection of wines is excellent, and their charcuterie offerings pair perfectly with the drinks. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a glass. The owner, who is also a sommelier, has an amazing personality and really enhances the experience with his expertise and welcoming nature. The service is consistently top-notch. Highly recommend for both wine lovers and those looking to unwind in a great atmosphere!

La Vid is a gem not only for the Carrollwood neighborhood, but for all of Tampa. There are no other wine bars in the area focusing on Spanish and Portuguese wines, and La Vid has a great selection for you to discover. It's not just a wine bar with really nice wines by the glass, but you can also choose from a wide array of wines available by the bottle as well as specialty Spanish and Portuguese foods such as olives, cheeses, tinned fish, and cured meats. Victor knows his wines, so make sure to ask for recommendations, especially if you're curious about something new.

I reserved to partake of a tasting of $90. The tasting only included three wines, which I wasn’t aware of before. Before it started, I was asked to be moved to a separate table (because I was alone and a group of “friends” asked to be together). During the “tasting”, I was forgotten to be served wine, and when I asked to leave and my refund, the owner claimed there were “no refunds”, so I decided to stay for the remainder of the tasting. I felt disregarded and disrespected. The owner did provide a sample of out-of-menu food. I’ve been here many times, and I’ve tried to bring friends even. However, the customer service needs to be improved upon. Perhaps I’m not the demographic of this place, which is unfortunate and discriminatory. I really tried giving this place a chance, but it’s not for me. I hope some find their experience rather improved upon.

Our most favorite wine bar. The sommelier recommends the best and unique wines. We love the Portuguese and Spanish selections and have met some great new friends here. The olives and cheese selection are such a high quality. We feel like we are back in Europe when we are here. Highly recommend if you love Portugal and Spain.

Very nice, good wines. The owner was great. Wines for purchase maybe a little more than I want to spend, although I didn’t check many prices and wine is getting to be pricey everywhere. Definitely worth a try!
Love coming to this wine bar! Victor is the best. His knowledge of wine is incredible. My husband and I have been a few times now and it’s one of my favorite places to sit and relax. His playlist is always fun too!

I had never tried this Portuguese wine. We are going back. Great wines .Fabulous service and knowledge. Worth a number of visits or become a regular. Very nice atmosphere.

Love having this place in my area. Victor is a marvelous host & sommelier - very welcoming and willing to share knowledge & opinions but he keeps it really & unintimidating. I bought two gift bottles & he wrapped them, without me having to ask. It's been a crazy week, so having that one less thing to do was lovely ( :Bottle & by the glass wine selection is diverse & interesting. The space is softly lit & cozy - great for GNO, chat at the bar vibe, date with your sweetie or sip while you shop.I haven't tried any of the food offerings yet - looking forward to returning soon.
