Outstanding in every aspect. Starts with valet parking. Makes for a pleasant arrival. Trendy vibey hotel. Loved the welcome at the reception. Made for an exceptional evening. Service was outstanding with 2 servers attending to our table of 3. Highlights for me was the pork belly appetizer. Memorable! And then the duck entree was to die for. On the more pricey side…but for a special occasion…I’d say a must!

We celebrated College Graduation and Christmas simultaneously at Lilac this past December. Our party consisted on some California foodies, college students, young adults, a vegetarian and parents who have traveled extensively. None of us had ever dined at a Michelin restaurant, so naturally we were excited and the dinner did not disappoint. Only one of us partook of the tasting menu which was perfectly timed, presented and devoured!! All of our party was raving..from the cocktails to the main dishes to the deserts, it was a most festive and fabulous experience. Our service was impeccable and Brice, Ryan, Liz, Jesse , Tori and Amber took amazing care of us! We especially enjoyed our table time with both Chef Jesus and Chef Seth, whose youth brings a fun dynamic to the kitchen, the dishes and the service. Thank you Lilac for providing such a lovely experience. If you are in Tampa.. make your reservation..and enjoy a star studded dining experience!

Starting off by saying the service, staff and atmosphere were great. The only thing taking off the 2 stars was some of the dishes. The duck was extremely salty and the soufflé just tasted like instant mix you get from the grocery store. The gelato accompanying the soufflé was hard and the top of the soufflé was slightly burnt.

Recommend getting the scallops, agnolotti and lamb chops, those were really good.

I had my birthday dinner here and tried the tasting menu, they were able to accommodate my dietary restriction easily, and the service was awesome. However, about five hours after leaving the restaurant, I had violent vomiting that woke me from a deep sleep. I do not and have never had any food allergies; I strongly suspect I got food poisoning here.

A dinning experience. We were there for almost three hours and enjoyed an eight course meal. It was fantastic.

Food was pretty mediocre. I find it hard to believe this place got a Michelin star. Very average food with an average experience.

Lilac is a special-occasion dinner that feels like Tampa’s fine-dining scene leveling up. The space is gorgeous and upscale with an open kitchen / chef’s counter vibe, and the food leans Mediterranean with bold flavors and polished technique.

It’s a prix-fixe format (you start with shared hors d’oeuvres, then choose courses), which makes the pacing smooth and the experience cohesive.

Tips: book ahead, expect fine-dining pricing, and dress appropriately for The EDITION setting.

I am visiting the Tampa area for the first time. I just finished my meal at Lilac. I have much to say about it.

I flew in to Tampa today and wanted to treat myself to a nice dinner on night 1 of my trip. I was looking up Michelin starred restaurants and came across Lilac. I didn’t know much about it beforehand but it seemed interesting.

I arrived and the first thing I noticed was the attention the staff pays to the clientele. It’s pretty top notch. The general manager (I forget her name - sorry!) greeted me and brought me to my table. I decided to get the tasting menu along with a wine pairing.
Service for my meal was headed up by Ryan with assistance from Bryce. They were both incredible - ultra attentive and accommodating. The sommalier (again whose name I forgot!) gave a great explanation for each wine.

The food was, simply put, among the best I’ve had. I’ve dined at quite a few Michelin starred restaurants and Lilac is up there at the top. Each dish had an amazing flavor profile. My favorites included the smoked arctic char with beet and horseradish, the Dover sole with crab fritter and capers, and the Wagyu sirloin with beef cheek and potatoes robuchon. Chef Fraser came out for the truffle dish to shave white alba truffle table side. The bottom line is: bet on this chef. He’s got a gift for enticing menu.
I’m sad that I live in Boston, as I don’t know the next time I’ll be down in the Tampa area, but I would go out of my way to come here. It’s that good. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Bravo to Chef Fraser and his entire team, both in the kitchen and front of the house, for making Lilac an amazing culinary experience.

Great menu, the staff went above and beyond. Felt supremely taken care of. Ryan was a great sommelier and took his time explaining the wine menu.

Outstanding from start to finish, must do the sampling menu Paired with the wine tasting and the octopus appetizer (is a must add on). We Found this place when we first moved here and have been dying to get back. Our server Ryan truly elevated the experience, guiding us through each course with professionalism and genuine enthusiasm. Every dish was beautifully plated and thoughtfully composed, with flavors that came together seamlessly. The attention to detail—from service to presentation to taste—was top-notch. An exceptional dining experience that fully lives up to its Michelin recognition. Highly recommended.

The tasting menu is a near-spiritual experience of textures, flavors, and service to match. I’m not exaggerating when I tell you every item was the best version of that particular dish that I’ve ever had. And I’ve been to some of the best restaurants in the US. This is easily top 3.

I recently dined at Tampa Lilac at the Edition Hotel for a birthday celebration and unfortunately left feeling disappointed, especially considering the cost. We chose the tasting menu at $200 per person, and with tip, the total came to $600 for two!! For that price point, I expected a memorable and elevated dining experience—but the value simply wasn’t there.

The dishes were fine, but none stood out as exceptional or particularly creative, and overall the menu felt underwhelming for a tasting experience at this level. What made the night even more surprising was that despite noting it was my birthday, nothing special was done—no complimentary dessert or coffee. Most upscale restaurants make an effort to celebrate special occasions, especially on a weeknight when things are quieter.

For a high-end restaurant inside the Edition, I expected both the food and the hospitality to match the price. Unfortunately, it missed the mark on both. Beautiful space and ambiance, but I wouldn’t return for the tasting menu or recommend it for special celebrations.
