The food was great, I've been looking for some good soul food in Tampa and they did not disappointed. Except for the long wait time to get a drink and also to get our meal, I would definitely recommended this place...

This place has THE best fried catfish in the south! Their cornbread was beyond on point. Everything was delicious! I will make a stop here every chance I get! ???

Tic Toc said that this spot had a vibe. So let me see. Very pretty inside. We had to wait about 30 min to be seated. But the food and the drinks definitely made up for it. When I say the food was delicious and hot.

First time ordering food from here. A walk in. I ordered fried chicken, greens, Mac & cheese, sweet potatoes and cornbread to go. Didn't take long to get my order maybe 15 min. Everything tasted good. I will return.

I paid 18 dollars for this . On top of me paying for food that was ok I waited an hour for my food to actually be served . I was provided with a free appetizer but it just wasn’t worth it . The macaroni and fried chicken was pretty good . But the collard greens and corn bread wasn’t good at all . I was very excited to eat here when my gf brought me so to get this type of food for the amount we paid was disappointing especially since it’s black owned . I’ve never sat at a restaurant and had to wait for almost an hour for my food to come . I want to give them another try but things just wasn’t what I expected . Also I was told that with the friend chicken that it was gonna be a thigh, drumstick and wings . As you can see from the picture that isn’t what I received . 18 dollars for this my fellow black people ….. to top it all off my gf got the j*** baked chicken and the chicken wasn’t fully cooked still pink in the middle ….

Been here about 3 times even before they moved to this new location. The food is what keeps me coming back. Really wish they would invest in restaurant service education. The wait times after you're seated has ALWAYS been horrible. 5 minutes after guest sit down the server needs to be there taking drink orders. Never have everything on the menu. Like first come first serve basisThey need to count the number of patrons and buy accordingly for the day. Nice place, nice vibe . It's just the wait times and poor food inventory. l'm going to keep coming because I want to see them win!!!

Main course was a great experience the atmosphere was a vibe… but baby that FOOD was sent from the heavens. Definitely will be back

Let me tell you, that food was soo good it makes you want to slap your husband..lol.lol..but the portions were great, the price was great, dj was on fire...grown folk music and overall great atmosphere. Staff was friendly and quick. Will definitely go again

The Host was awesome. My server was amazing..My food was Delicious!!! I forgot to take a picture of my drink.. that was also delicious. I’m trying to find something to complain about.. I honestly can’t to try more things on the menu.

We had to wait but worth the wait. The DJ did a great job and the food was really good. I would recommend to others.

I ordered the hibachi shrimp and crab, and my friend ordered the chicken and salmon. The crab was just a whole cluster deep fried. If I had known it was still in a shell, I would not have ordered it. Breaking the crab was ridiculous bc deep frying it made the meat stick to the shell even more and dry. For $16, I could have eaten a whole pound and actually got some meat. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The only thing that was really tasty was the Cajun Lemon Pepper Wings. The old fashion we had was $17, and it was definitely watered down as if they put soda water or sprite in it. I barely tasted the bourbon. I never had it made that way, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it. The last thing that did kind of upset us was that they automatically added 18% gratuity to the bill and didn't even say anything, nor was it advertised on the menu like most places. Even then, most places only add it to groups of 6 or more. But I guess in situations like this, I'd protect myself and automatically add it too. It was definitely a disappointment for me. Would I go back? Preferably a no for me. I will say that the people working there were nice and that is my reasoning for the 2 stars. The overcooked food, drink, and automatic gratuity was the deal breakers for us.

I went on Saturday night to celebrate my son's birthday. When we arrived it looked to crowded so we decided to leave. As we walked away the gentleman that was behind the bar came out and assured that there was seating. We were so glad we went back in. The vibe was awesome. The food was AMAZING. The waitstaff was attentive. The dj was great. It was also nice to see how the owner interacted with her employees. She took a dance break and gave birthday shots to other patrons which I thought was a nice touch.We look forward to going again.

the service was absolutely trash our server was soooooooooooooo horrible I will never come back because of him. the man had a attitude from the moment we came through the door. he bring the wrong food to our table then got mad at my cousin for eating the pasta he thought was his because he placed the food in front of him my cousin assumed it was the shrimp pasta he ordered. I asked for a to go drink and this grown man rolled his eyes and walked away. We left. I’d definitely give zero stars if possible. The food isn’t great the service isn’t great. Highly don’t recommend.
