Mangos Southern Kitchen and Bar

This was mine and my boyfriend’s first time coming here, and it honestly did not disappoint. We had 11:30am reservations, arrived around 11:40am, and were seated at the rooftop by 11:45am. We specifically wanted to be there when brunch started with the live music, and the atmosphere was definitely a vibe—great energy, beautiful rooftop setting, and a lively crowd.

It was pretty busy, though, and we weren’t approached by our initial server for about 10–15 minutes. We eventually asked another server, Alex, if he could take care of us instead, and he was AMAZING. Super attentive, kind, and apologetic about the wait. He really turned our experience around and made sure we were well taken care of. Drinks came out great, the food was on point, and everything we ordered was delicious.

The restaurant is still fairly new—open for about four months—so I understand they may still be working out some kinks. However, we did notice one server managing both downstairs and upstairs, which made a lot of sense as to why our service was delayed. If that’s the standard staffing setup, I’d highly recommend adjusting it because handling two floors is a lot, especially with how packed this place gets.

Overall, we loved the vibe, loved the food, and loved the drinks. We’ll definitely be back—just might grab drinks at the bar first before being seated to avoid another delay. Again, everything was great, we just wish the service had been a bit more timely.

My husband and I visited Mangos tonight and left 100% satisfied. Now to be honest. The parking kinda sucks but hey- sometimes in life we gotta “give and take” for what we want 🤷🏽‍♀️ IMO. We sat at the bar and received complimentary honey cornbread 🤤🤤(LISTEN!! Corn bread sooo GOOOD-we placed a to-go order as well😆). For starters we ordered the salmon bites and lemon pepper fried shrimp. 🤤🤤🤤 so so good and will order again. For the entrees, I order oxtail Rasta Pasta with a side of greens and my husband order lamb chops with Caribbean. Rice and beans and a side of Mac-n-cheese.
Lamb chops so tender 🤤 rice and beans so flavorful; the Mac n cheese 🤤 yeah, definitely hit the spot. We left full, overly satisfied and planning on the next visit. Oh and the female that attended to us at the bar was so awesome. I can’t speak for anyone else and I won’t.. As for myself and husband.. everything was spot on.
