Felt this situation warranted a review. Months ago, my son chose your restaurant for his college graduation dinner and we made a reservation for 10 people. He chose it because it's one of his favorite places to eat in Tampa. I called last week to confirm and was told we were all set. Today, I received a phone call cancelling my reservation because they suddenly realized its Cinco de Mayo the next day and they can no longer honor reservations on the 4th...but they are really sorry. When I asked to speak with a manager they told me she was not available at the moment. So now with just a few days to go until graduation I have to try to find a place that can accommodate 10 people. Really disappointing and such bad business.

First of all this isn’t authentic Mexican food as we were expecting it to be as first timers and not local. There aren’t changing tables for small children so that’s a bummer. But I will say, it’s only really a good place to go hang out with friends or a date, so for that, the atmosphere is great. I want to like it but I should have done more research for our needs as a family.

It's your average run of the mill mexican restaurant. There was nothing good or bad about this place. I wouldn't recommend but I also wouldn't avoid. If someone invited me I would go but I would never suggest going there.

We had an awesome time at this restaurant. It is right in the heart of Island village and has plenty of parking outside. The margaritas were not my favorite but they gave us copious amounts of food for the price.

We enjoy coming to Margaritas, the food is great, it's always super busy so therefore the service is a little slow. The tacos are very filling and the serving amounts are huge! I don't fancy Mexican much but the variety of food they have, always keeps me coming back for more. the sangria and margaritas are excellent. Not a complaint about this place. We love it and will keep driving 45 minutes to keep enjoying their cuisine. Tell me what you think when you go there for Mexican next time ?

My wife, family, and I love eating here! The wait staff is always friendly and the food is consistently delicious. They have reasonably priced drinks, specials, and regular menu items. Plus we love the atmosphere on DI!

I have been going here for 29 years. Estella's forever...Then Margarita's took it over. It definitely isn't the same as it was when it was Estella's.Friday was a beautiful afternoon. My spouse ask me if I wanted to stop by my favorite restaurant and sit out on the patio. I said yes.When we arrived, there was one server. We asked him very politely and respectfully if he would clear one of the tables. He did so reluctantly.That table ended up being too sunny. So, we chose another table. There were not many options as most were dirty.Another couple came in as we still sat there waiting and took a corner table. He came back out and greeted them with a smile and with salsa.I noticed this and brought it to my spouses attention. We simply got up and left. This seemed to be some sort of passive aggressive slight. This is my opinion as it was very blatant to me. His body language told to the story.I will never go back. 29 years... However, there are too many other places that show hospitality, not these PA games.

Food and service were amazing!! We loved that it was on the Main Street of Davis island and we could people watch! My shrimp quesadilla was awesome and my husband enjoyed his meal as well.
Visited Davis Islands for the first time in a while. We were craving Mexican food and saw Margaritas Mexican Restaurant and decided to give it a try. It's located on the main strip which is very convenient. The service from the waiters was very good as they provided good insight on the menu and specials. The food however was nothing special. We've tried better dishes at other Mexican restaurants that are deserving of 5 stars. The chimichanga and rice bowl were average and weren't our favorite. The chips and salsa were also OK and not great. Good for a one time visit

Margaritas is a Davis island staple. I eat here at least once a month. I love the chips and salsa!! The strawberry margs are delicious, as well as the enchiladas. Service is good, they can get busy but have so many people helping out. This place can be fun with live music and sitting outside when it's nice out is great!

Food is good and love the location, but the service is poor. The last few times we’ve visited our server was not attentive and not very friendly. It will take a long time to get your food. I hope they fix their service because we used to enjoy eating here.
