They ripped us off. $18 for a Cuban sandwich, chicken noodle soup and a side order of plantains. I guess us gringos get the super-high prices and the Cubanos get the lower pricing. Refused to give us a menu to see pricing, and no prices on their billboards.Total rip-off and we will be telling everyone we know that we got taken advantage of.

This neighborhood Cuban cafe is well hidden off of the main roads. It's back in a residential neighborhood. We came on Saturday afternoon and the place was spotless. There were several Cuban-American customers all ordering in Spanish. I ordered using my weak Spanish and got a colada, two cuban sandwiches, one without mustard, a Cuban queso pizza and two guava pastries. There was only one nice lady working, taking the orders and making all the food and coffee. People that came in after me had to wait for the lady to finish my food and Cuban coffee before they could order. Everyone was friendly and gracious and likely surprised to see a non-Spanish-fluent guy in the restaurant. While I waited and tried to understand what the proprietor was asking me... Miguel, a customer came to the rescue. He translated her questions about the sandwiches and translated my responses. I was so appreciative and thanked him twice. We started talking and he told me he came from Cuba 19 years ago when he was 21. I told him he's welcome in the US then he proceeded to reminisce about the beauty of Cuba and Havana, where he had lived. He took time with me describing the amazing pictures of Cuba on the wall in the restaurant. He told me there are both French and Spanish buildings in Cuba that are very well preserved and are spectacular to visit. Nice to meet you Miguel and thanks again! The colada had a wonderful crema and was perfectly sweet. The Cuban sandwiches are simple and didn't include salami but were tasty. The guava pastries were flaky and fresh. Finally, the hot Cuban queso pizza was interesting. Crunchy around the edge but bread-like in the middle. I think this is the only one of the dozens of Cuban restaurants in Tampa that serves Cuban queso pizza! It's worth a try for something different. The whole meal was incredibly cheap! It's like being in a different world. Life is good with Cuban coffee, food and pastries! Thank

I got to picc up 2 steak sandwiches and they charge me 26$ when had the price of a Cuban sandwich been that high I feel it was because I didn't speak Spanish and they felt they could tax the hell out of me will never go there again

Staff are really friendly, their colada is what I go there for, it's only $1.50 for the strongest coffee I've ever had in my life!

Clean and prompt attention on an early morning running errands and needing a quick picker upper before hitting the road again. The place was clean and cozy; the service very cordial. My Cuban coffee was on point, and my medianoche sandwich quite tasty. Will return ??
