This is one of those places where you are definitely paying for the atmosphere. We had four different dishes at our table and the portions are very small and everyone left wanting a little bit more.

Ordered the Calamari for a late lunch on Monday and woke up extremely sick on Tuesday/Wednesday. Could have been the Calamari or the water smell from the flood they had last weekend that our server tried to tell us didn't happen (we saw it in person when it flooded). No one answers the phone here or the main hotel line when you try to call and let them know they gave you food poisoning.

Went there for lunch and ordered the chicken. It was drier than the Sahara Desert!!! I could get better rotisserie chicken at Publix for a cheaper price. Only redeeming factor was the service and atmosphere. The waiter was very attentive and pleasant. It’s a shame the food didn’t deliver.

The disregard for their customers shocks me. We had a reservation to celebrate our 10th anniversary at Market. When the day came, our family got ready, we drove an hour to get to Market, dealt with all the Amalie traffic and finally made it to Market. When we got there, we were shocked to learn that Market was closed to do some repairs. We confirmed our reservation the day before, so Market knew we were coming yet didn't bother to tell us they were going to be closed. No one ever reached out to us afterwards to explain the closure or to apologize either. No communication at all. What a complete waste of time and disappointment it was on what was a special event for our family and Market could care less. Reminds me of the old Seinfeld episode about the rental car company just taking a reservation but not actually holding and serving the reservation.

The host was no where to be found for the first 15mins of our arrival, waited at the hostess stand and finally a server found them and had us started. Then, our server was nowhere to be found for the last 30/45mins after our meal was served. Waited for our bill, then ended up having to go inside and find a different server to close out. Slightly embarrassed especially for a 5 star hotel

Such an incredible experience! We went Sunday night for some appetizers and were very lucky to have the server Ashley. She attended to each one of our requests and questions with no problem and was a pleasure to chat with! She checked in with us without being too persistent and made sure everything was up to our standards. She gave us very tasty recommendations with our charcuterie board and had such a pleasant smile and attitude the entire time. If you go to Market and are served by Ashley I have no doubt you’ll have a lovely time!

Ashley was our server and did a fantastic job of welcoming us, explaining the menu, and coordinating which foods paired best for our tastes. Our part of 3 had wine, Charcuterie, cheese, and veggies, with a side of sour dough focaccia bread (warm and delicious).Ashley was attentive, very knowledgeable, and present whenever we needed her. Can’t say enough good things about her.

Had a lovely brunch experience this morning!Preston our bartender was kind, welcoming, and on top of everything.I ordered the egg white scramble- absolutely in my top 5 ever egg dishes. Full of so much flavor!Ordered a soy chai latte - simply delicious.Nutella croissant as a sweet small bite. (It was not small!) so so delicious.Prices were fair for the area. Easy to find a spot at the bar without a reservation. Will definitely return.Parking: Valet and street parking.

The ambiance and place is amazing. The service was great! However, the Hot Honey Pepperoni puzza was burned and had skimpy toppings. It was ok. The clincher was a Diet Coke and Iced Tea for $7 ... EACH! Allow it way overpriced.

Service was painfully slow and inattentive. Meatball appetizer was dry as well as chicken entry. Pizza was very good. Service was so slow we gave up and didn't even order desert after waiting so long for a dessert menu to come. A side dish we ordered arrived when we were done with our main course.

Ate there twice - lunch Saturday, brunch Sunday. A mix of experiences. Lunch not that impressive. Especially the cake was dry and tasteless. Waitress seemed confused. Broccoli pasta dish not that tasty. Next day called downstairs to see if reservations required for brunch. Told no, just show up. Went downstairs and was told that it would have been a good idea to make reservations (!!!). Brunch was good, service excellent.

The Market is one of the most esthetically pleasing spots in Tampa Bay. This review is based on several visits to the glamorous eatery @ The EDITION Hotel. Giving this restaurant 5 stars because our server, Ashley, and hostess (who I unfortunately do not know the name of) went above and beyond and provided outstanding customer service to us. It was the night of the 1st Drake concert. Even though I had tried making a reservation 3 weeks out at multiple restaurants near Amalie Arena, I was unsuccessful. No restaurant on Water Street had any availability until 9 p.m. that evening. So, we decide to "wing" it by trying to get a table without a reservation. But, every single restaurant was committed, except for The Market, which was able to seat 3 of us without a hassle. Not only that, but we were given one of the most beautiful tables away from all the noise. I appreciated it more than the employees of The Market knew!!Keep in mind, this restaurant serves smaller portions, hence it is one of the more affordable spots on Water Street. As for our main course we opted in for Grilled Market Fish, Roasted New York Strip and 12oz. Niman Ranch Pork Chop, which were all excellent. Side dishes were, Market Vegetables and Rosemary Potatoes, and complimented the main courses well. My 'Lemon Drop' cocktail was perfectly prepared and smooth. As for dessert, we chose Pistachio Praline Cannoli and Tiramisu Affogato which were pretty good, but, honestly, not wow. Tiramisu is not made in a traditional way, but was quite interesting with Grind Coffee liqueur and dry ladyfingers on the side. Both hot latte and iced vanilla latte were fantastically prepared, however. The ambiance of the gorgeous EDITION Hotel/The Market is absolutely stunning!! It is like a little green paradise in the middle of Tampa's Downtown. All of The EDITION restaurants are top notch, in my opinion. Definitely recommend this place for a date night, girls night or any celebration.
