Set realistic expectations for this mom and pop shop. I went in just shy of 7am. The server/owner(?) seemed surprised I was there. Seems like locals definitely keep this biz afloat. There are a couple of hand written menus, but right off the bat server started naming off things available at that time. I ordered just grits and coffee. I was put off by the fact that they had already been open but I got kicked out of the establishment because server had to make a quick trip to purchase things. Not much of an issue, wasn't in a rush, but definitely sucked that it was told to me AFTER I had food in hand. Would've much rather been told that in advance. After kicking me out, a regular came by and I was sitting even longer outside with food in hand while the regular got to dine inside as the owner shopped. The coffee was coffee, just fine, does the job. Grits were good and decent serving. Paid $6 for both. The interior is just as dingy as the outside, but tables are clean, locals are friendly.

Condiment containers looked to have never been cleaned. The syrup bottle was sticky and had dirt/dust crusted around the top. I was unable to finish my food due to feeling uncomfortable with the cleanliness of the place. I would definitely not recommend toys establishment.

Dingy place inside and out, service is pretty awful, and the food was just awful! No seasoning on anything, didn’t even butter the toast. Burnt French toast. The drinks were even worse. I choose not to make breakfast for myself because I suck at it and my food tasted exactly like what I make, without butter, so more dry than mine. Who wants to go to a restaurant for what a bad cook can make at home?

I rented a UHaul trailer from Martha's and the manager helped me hook it up! While was there I ordered their fresh bowl of grits. Awesome! Customers were happily hitting and enjoying fresh horses breakfasts. What a sweet little place!!
I don't know if the staff has changed up or we just came on a bad day but the food was definitely a disappointment ? There was NO, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NO seasoning of any kind used in any of our food - I got fried eggs, French toast, smoked sausage and breakfast potatoes - my girlfriend got scrambled eggs, grits, a waffle & bacon. No seasoning in anything, no butter, no nothing. The food definitely needed seasonings because it was all completely BLAND. The French toast & waffle looked like they had sat out a whole then got microwaved to heat them up because both were soggy, moist and not fresh. The syrup was the only thing with some flavor. The place could also definitely use a good cleaning, there were boxes EVERYWHERE, the dusty smell is very noticeable, the counter area is extremely cluttered. Just overall a bad experience and let down.
