Loved it. Met the ex owner that's he & his wives name is on the door. Cool. Tool lots of pics of the wall pics mashed, etc. I still need to go through them. I have a few from there, but lots from my life way behind to check so I hope to soon enough, but by bit a few sections every day + videos too omg. It must have been a recent sakes idk. They had their 50th anniversary idk if the company or that location. I'll need to check website or Google it : if I can't get the answer call & ask staff. There was Chris, but I didn't get the other guys name & the gal manager : I got nice crew lady taking the garbage out & cleaning duty, but I forgot her name rn. Omg. I think it was a name that repeated from recent before this place or nest different name. Not sure which. ? Oh well. I'll know when I go back. Webber cuz have other place I want to try.Parking: Amazing. You can switch to the other brKid-friendliness: Definitely saw that.Wheelchair accessibility: No need. I believe that one door a wheelchair can come in ig.

Stopped by because a co-worker thought I would like it. Well, fries were hot and the dog was ok, just not for the $13 I paid. I guess I was spoiled by Hazel’s Hot Dogs in St. Augustine, Fl.

Mel’s Hot Dogs is a culinary gem that truly stands out in the realm of hot dog joints. The moment you step inside, you’re enveloped by the enticing aroma of sizzling hot dogs and the welcoming ambiance of a classic diner. Each bite of their hot dogs is a flavorful adventure, bursting with deliciousness that leaves you craving more. What sets Mel’s apart is its innovative approach to toppings. While some may be accustomed to plain hot dogs, Mel’s offers a tantalizing array of unique toppings that elevate the humble hot dog to gourmet status. From savory chili and melty cheese to tangy sauerkraut and crispy onions, there’s a topping combination to suit every palate.Parking: Small parking lot so we parked a little further away.

Classic hot dog shop with delicious chili. More than just hot dogs with a pretty expansive list of options. Employees are always welcoming and happy to see you walk through the door every time. I try to come at least once a week. Love this place.

Mel's! I moved to Tampa (from Chicago ) when I was 5 years old, in 1985. I saw Mel driving the wienermobile in the temple terrace 4th of July parade every year. I think Mel's Hot dogs sponsored my soccer team on and off. Anyway, the hot dogs are legit. The fries are good and they have the best ice for the soft drinks. Just like when I was a kid.

It was a good hot dog, but nothing more. The sausage and bun were very tasty. But for that price, I expected more. The sausage was pretty lost in the bun. I thought it would be full of topping. Tasty, but too expensive for what it was.
Best Dogs in Town. Mel will be missed.
