Mission BBQ is clearly on a mission to honor those who have served our country. The atmosphere is filled with images of military personnel, creating a patriotic and welcoming environment. The food itself is a true celebration of BBQ. I ordered the Meat Sampler with Baked Beans and finished with the Mississippi Mud Pie. The brisket was packed with flavor, and the wide variety of BBQ sauces ensures there’s something for everyone to enjoy. No hesitation—I’ll definitely be back.

Mission BBQ is fine for lunch, not for diner. The food fell short for me. The meats arrived noticeably dry like they’d stayed in the smoker past their prime, and they lacked the tenderness and juiciness you expect from good barbecue. The lemonade was also a letdown, tasting more diluted than bright and refreshing. If convenience is the goal, it works; but if you’re craving moist, flavorful barbecue with a crisp, tart drink, you may want to look elsewhere.

Drove all the way from Deerfield Beach and purposed to go to this Mission BBQ on Waters Ave. Due to traffic, we arrived 10 minutes before closing. The staff was soooo welcoming and warm and friendly. Great seeing Manny working the BBQ station. Food came out quickly (as always) and they were serving their amazing Banana Pudding to top it all off! Looking forward to coming back again!

Great pulled pork, mac & cheese, fries and the banana 🍌 pudding 🍮 😋 👌 is primo!! Great service too. Had our Ye Krewe of Sir Henry Morgan board meeting in their meeting room which is a nice place to have a birthday party, working lunch meeting or team event.

When I approached the register to order, I was greeted by the cashier with a smile. “Is this your first time dining with us?” she asked. “Yes, it is,” I replied. She then stepped out and thoroughly explained the entire menu to me, which I really appreciated. After placing my order, I was impressed by how quickly it was prepared less than 10 minutes. The server handed me my meal along with a complimentary strawberry treat. Regardless of how the food tasted, we need more of this kind of customer service here in the States. Thank you, Mission BBQ, for setting such a great example.

I'm about 5 months new to Tampa, not many friends yet, just started a new job, and I've been broke waiting on this first check. So I've been killing time for things to do by walking around the neighborhood, Shopkicking, and generally staying out of the house. I have stopped by Mission BBQs outside seating to get out of the sun a couple of times this week and it smelled so good! Also, they were really nice about me sitting there. I couldn't wait to get paid so I could finally try it and I'm not disappointed at all! The potato salad is seasoned slightly spicy with great texture. Green beans I like all ways so I was not mad at theirs. 😁The brisket. Aaaaah the brisket. I got it moist and it is scrumptious! I layered 3 of the 6 different sauces they offer and they enhanced an already, almost perfect meal. I was only missing a roasted hot pepper.
Did I mention the cornbread? I drizzled the hot honey sauce on it. Go on. Give it a try. You know you want to. You won't regret it

First time coming here and definitely will be coming back! I ate the Brisket, pork, and chicken with sides of beans macaroni and cheese with potato salad. You can tell everything was made fresh and they really care about their craft. When we got finished eating Carl came around with free desserts for the first time customers. They were very welcoming and the service was top tier. Thank you to Melissa and Carl for making it a great experience.
