I decided to try Mr. B’s for the first time based on several recommendations, but unfortunately, I left feeling very disappointed. We were seated and received our drinks fairly quickly, so I had high hopes starting off. We placed our food order shortly after, but from there, the experience took a downturn.
It took well over 40 minutes for our food to arrive. While I could tell everything was freshly made and served warm, the flavor just wasn’t there. The chicken was dry and lacked seasoning, and the macaroni surprisingly didn’t have much taste. The yams and collard greens were okay, but nothing memorable. During the entire meal, we were never offered a drink refill, which added to the overall frustration.
After we finished, we were ready to check out—but had to stop our server just to ask for the bill. Even after that, we waited another 15–20 minutes. Eventually, I stood up and walked to the front because I didn't want to wait any longer. In total, it took about 25 minutes just to pay and leave.
The restaurant was clearly understaffed, which may explain the delays, but the lack of attentiveness and the underwhelming food made this a disappointing visit overall. I really wanted to enjoy it, but the experience fell short.

Went on a Saturday around 3pm. Restaurant was understaffed, slow service and the food was mediocre. There were two of us and they seated us at a large table. However, when we were in the middle of our meal, the owner/manager asked us if we would move to another table to finish our meal. That was so unprofessional. We told him we were done and went to pay the bill. Won’t be seeing me again.

Good things: nicely decorated, plenty of parking
The bad: service is horrendously slow, nothing was served timely, we had to get up after 45 minutes to see where our meals were and one of us received her food a full 20 minutes after the rest of us. This was inexplicable since everything came out of the steam table. The mac & cheese was old and crusty. Items ordered were left off the plate. The fried chicken was super dark, overdone, left too long in the fryer. And everything was under seasoned and bland as hell. The waitress had a bad attitude and tossed plates on the table. The place was busy but seriously understaffed. I hope they do better, but none of our large party will ever go back.

I honest to God give honest reviews 🙏 and I hope and pray others do as well because I actually go to places based off of the reviews. Well, I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the oxtails dinner. I chose Mac & cheese and yams. My food cost 29.82. The oxtails were so tough, the white rice was not cooked well, no gray whatsoever. The yams 🍠 were undercooked and wouldn't raised the glucose level of a diabetic. The cornbread was awful 😖. The 2 stars 🌟 was because the customer service was good and the Mac & cheese was good too. Please do better because this dinner was entirely too much money for it not to be good.

Best fresh tasting fish I’ve had since I’ve been in FL (moved here 2020). Huge portions, beautiful tasty crispy coating on pork chops and fish. Waitress very friendly and professional. Collards seasoned to protection. Hope to get a set this Easter Sunday!

Customer service was top tier. I originally ordered wings which were golden brown and made to order. After enjoying that I also tried the smothered pork chop turkey meatloaf. Everything was very good and tasty.
