The wagyu sashimi was really, really good. Everything else was slightly disappointing. I think I have had lots of better rolls at less expensive restaurants. The tuna hand roll was the exception, though it was unexpectedly small, like a piece of sashimi, and consequently over priced.

Great service from all the staff starting from when we walked into the door from the host to our various servers. Food was excellent and flavorful. Ambiance was very nice although somewhat loud (everyone is in one large room). Parking across the street in the garage was validated for $5 vs $40 for event parking that night.. great deal!

My friends and I stopped in and did the omakase tasting. While the food was delicious the place was so loud that we couldn't hear the chef talking. He was trying to explain the difference cuts and details on where things were from but I could only pick up a word here and there. Alittle disappointed but overall a good experience.

Best food I've ever had! It's my favorite restaurant. I've been here many times and the food is constantly amazing. Favorite dishes are the triple black ramen, crispy pork belly, komo crustini, chicken bao buns but you could probably close your eyes and point at the menu and whatever you land on would be amazing.

Enough cannot be said for the staff. I sat at the bar on my most recent visit and watching them all work together to ensure perfection for every patron, not just their own, was eye opening. The bartenders were making beautiful drinks the entire time I was there. Blake, whom I presume was a manager, was everywhere ensuring satisfaction.

Wow wow wow! Not only were the cocktails and food great but our server, Stephanie, truly made this an experience! Her knowledge of the menu and the origins of each and every item on the menu with a complete flavor profile of each dish made ordering our meals seem less and extremely satisfying. Each item that Stephanie recommended was absolutely delectable! We haven’t even been out of the restaurant for 20 minutes and we’re already planning our next visit and will most certainly be requesting her as our server. 10/10!!

So….I try to normally write as much of a complimentary and upbeat review as possible. Especially for well deserving locales like Noble Rice. But I’m torn about this place. It was our first time here. We are locals from Tampa, but recently went to New York City to an incredible omakase sushi bar in Greenwich Village (West Village). It was just an omakase bar (not a restaurant) with a personal sushi chef. Reservation only—12 people max. It was a 12 course meal for $85. Leave it to New York to spoil us…but we still wanted to try omakase here in Tampa.
First of all, the good. Beautifully decorated sushi bar/restaurant in downtown Tampa at Channelside. The wait staff and our sushi chef were incredibly nice and informative about the sushi presentations. The omakase sushi pieces were very good. But there was only 7 pieces and the price per person was $165! And some of them were fried—really? I want sushi not tempura. And they finish it off with a vanilla ice cream bar….?? Really? Why do they feel the need to Americanize everything? Back to some good. The drinks and sake were exceptionally good and unique. They have an extensive sake selection.👍🏻 But again…the expenses add up quickly. With 2 drinks each for us, the omakase, tax, tip….total was $530!!
All of that would have been worth it except for this being a restaurant as well. Way too many people. Way too loud. The intimacy of an omakase experience was lost. We could barely hear the description of each sushi piece. Our sushi chef (supposedly our personal chef) was helping make sushi for the restaurant as well. He was either preoccupied or gone most of the evening. Not his fault—something management needs to fix though. Overall not a bad experience. But at those prices, a few more sushi selections and a dedicated sushi chef would be nice.
