Our family and friends were once frequent patrons of Oak & Ola, but recent events have made it impossible for us to continue supporting this establishment. Chef Scott Morningstar, a key member of the leadership team, has publicly condoned and even applauded the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk. His support for such an abhorrent act, which advocates for violence and mass shootings, is both disturbing and deeply troubling.
This behavior is incompatible with basic human decency and raises serious concerns for anyone considering dining at Oak & Ola. Despite multiple requests for comment, the restaurant has failed to issue any statement, choosing instead to remain silent on the matter.
We are appalled by this lack of accountability and will be taking this issue to local journalists to ensure the public is made aware of this dangerous stance. The support of violence by an employee of Oak & Ola reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. We urge potential patrons to consider the ethical implications of supporting a business that tolerates such behavior.

Chris Felix was the best server! We brought our friend to celebrate her finishing her residency and Chris made sure she felt so special. Even gave her a card! The food and drinks were SO good. The service was exceptional and the vibe of the restaurant was so fun. Will definitely be back!

Everything about the place is great! Upon my arrival I was greeted by a very kind host. Matt and Erin B made me feel like I was at home with a very warm welcome! I would recommend this to any local or anyone visiting the area. 11/10 !!!!! Will be back

If I could give more stars, I would. Yet another spectacular dinner at Oak + Ola. Their new menu is phenomenal — the Chicken Milanese is perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the PEI mussels are mouthwatering with just the right touch of fennel. The new lemon dessert with pistachio ice cream? Unreal. I couldn’t stop eating it. Service was flawless. Zachary was knowledgeable and attentive, and his recommendation of the Chablis was spot-on — it paired beautifully with everything. This place never misses.

Food was great. We were a party of 4 adults and 4 kids and everyone loved the service and food quality. Staff, management and chef came by to make sure everything was great.
I dined here on July 11,25. I ended up with food poisoning it’s so painful. I want to leave an honest review so the manager or owner can see this and take action. Someone needs to check the kitchen and make sure the food is actually fresh and good. Food is a big part of the experience that’s why we come, even though the sunset and the view are beautiful. Sadly, the food was disappointing and I’ve even thrown up twice after eating here.
This needs to be taken seriously. I hope the manager looks into what’s happening in the kitchen.

Excellent food and service. Servers are very in tune with what's going on and always ready to make recommendations, answer any questions and promptly refill drinks. The seared yellowtail almandine was cooked perfectly. This was our second time coming and the consistency and hospitality is second to none. One of our top restaurants in the Tampa area.
