The best food and drinks you will ever eat. I’ve never been a fan of New York strips, however, I tried it here because it was a “wagyu” cut. It will melt in your mouth! The prime manhattan complimented the food amazingly!

This restaurant is a 10 + didn't muss a thing. Our server Ryan was very attentive to us as we celebrated our 45th Anniversary. Now in my top 3 list. Don't miss a chance to enjoy.

Nickel and dime time. This was my first time back in a little while. The changes were not positive.
First, the parking lot was closed off for valet parking (which is $5). Needless to say it was almost empty but the adjoining Crate and Barrel was full....
We arrived about 15 min before our reservation and there were at least three hosteses yet it took quite a while to get seated (not very busy at 4:30).
The previous complementary bread is now $8 (I don't know if they offer seconds). I didn't see much bread coming out of the kitchen.
We both had seafood, I had the seared ahi which was perfect and the wife had the teriyaki salmon which was also perfect. We also had the steakhouse corn which is spectacular. Service was fine but the water refills were often forgotten (I didn't order anything else to drink)
I've had problems in the past - forgotten sides, cold food items and once a crappy steak that should never have been served to a customer (all gristle) but on average the place was acceptable. With the current changes and price honestly I prefer Bern's.

A Masterclass in Hospitality: An Unforgettable Night at Ocean Prime
From the moment you step through the doors, Ocean Prime greets you with a high-energy pulse that sets the stage for something special. The decor is impeccable, providing a sophisticated backdrop that feels both upscale and inviting—perfect for any occasion.
The Service
The experience began with a warm welcome from the hosting team, who had our table ready in record time. Our server, Rick, was the standout of the evening. His service was friendly, refreshing, and incredibly accommodating. We never felt rushed, yet our drinks and courses appeared with almost psychic timing.
What truly touched us was the genuine care shown to our family. Rick and the team went above and beyond, calling in extra support to help our parents settle into the table with such compassion. That level of attentiveness extended all the way to the valet team, who were incredibly patient and helpful in assisting my mother with the car.
Favorites Dishes:
• Lobster Bisque: Rich, velvety, and deeply flavorful.
• Chilean Sea Bass: Cooked to perfection.
• Filet Mignon: A masterclass in quality and preparation.
It is rare to find a team that cares this much about their craft and their guests. Ocean Prime doesn't just serve a meal; they curate an experience. We will absolutely be back for our next family milestone!

Checked out this place for a business lunch. Food was great.. Steak tartar was fresh and tasty. Lobster bisque was lacking a bit more seasoning and no enough lobster. Steak and Chilean sea bass were cooked to perfection. Wait time for lunch was pretty long to receive the food. Overall a decent experience and not over priced. Thank you for the hospitality

The service was incredible. Kyle and Dylan were very attentive. I asked for a quiet table and we got one in a small room. The manager told us that normally it is booked. Loved the calamari and crab legs, scallops, branzino and lobster tails. Everything was perfect. A very memorable meal. This is a real fine in every way.
Celebrated my fiancés birthday at Ocean Prime and it is our new favorite restaurant in Tampa! Our server Adam gave us the best service we've ever had and all other staff greeted us and made the whole experience overwhelmingly special. The food melted in your mouth and the cocktails and dessert were to die for. We can't wait to be back.
Absolutely amazing. We have tried many steak houses in the area and this is by far one of the best one!

Last night was our third visit to Ocean prime. The last two times the experience has been exceptional, but last night fell well short of expectations. I was ordering steak and deciding between the New York Strip and the Ribeye, and normally the ribeye does not disappoint, because it's a more flavorful steak in my opinion. However, last night, even though I ordered it medium rare, it was a little bit tough. Our experience dipped from there. We had been given a Visa gift card, which I've never had a problem using anywhere before, because they are sold at every retail store in the country. Last night our server said his manager told him the restaurant can't take the Visa gift card, because it didn't have a chip and therefore they couldn't prove if it was fraudulent or not. That explanation made no sense to me. Bradley and his team did a great job on the service side, but the management and the kitchen did not hold up to their end of the bargain. Last night really disappointed me. I give the food and this overall experience two stars because my wife had the filet which she thoroughly enjoyed. I am not sure when we'll be returning to Ocean prime.
We were celebrating and did not receive our usual experience when we come to OP to celebrate milestones and birthday. Did this change? No bread while waiting for our food and no minimal decor on table or dessert. The food was great and the restaurant was clean as always though...
Ocean prime is consistently fabulous in all aspects. Definitely my favorite restaurant. My only complaint is the sourdough bread is gone. Bring it back instead of the parkerhouse rolls...
The food was good as was the service. However, it's hard to justify their prices. Over $200 for 2 people is excessive. This was for 2 entrees, 1 salad, and 2 drinks.
Price to quality just is not there anymore. Been 2 years from my last visit, nothing special anymore and probably my last visit. For $650 for dinner with daughter and wife we were expecting some wow. No more wows.
