Oddfellows, odd-rated!
Can’t understand how this place is so underrated, or even overlooked.
There is a staple menu and a revolving menu, that is rather seasonal. The waffle cones are probably some of the best I had in the area. Samples are given in stainless steel spoons, which is a pretty nice touch.
No matter what kind of flavor you are craving for, there are sure to be a unique offering that you are going to get here. The cookies and mint and some of the chocolate ice cream I’ve had here are some of the best in my book.
Parking: There are a few parking garages around the Hyde Park area, where this ice cream parlor is located.

RUDE STAFF! The blonde girl and darker guy were totally rude to us when we came in tonight to buy ice cream because she decided to mop WHILE THEY ARE STILL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND WITH GUESTS INSIDE and not put out a wet floor sign. Also, after getting our ice cream and walking outside one of us had a BLONDE HAIR in the ice cream. We came right back inside and told them and asked for a new one to be made. They were both rude about it and never apologized for getting THEIR HAIR in our ice cream. Of course, this wouldn’t happen if you had better trained staff and required them to wear a hair net. Absolutely disgusting will never return.

8$ for a scoop of mid ice cream is ludicrous. The demise of this city should be blamed on Hyde Park Village
Love this cute-as-a-monkey place with small batch ice cream for sweet lovers and vegans. Excellent personal service. The vegan coconut mango ice cream was creamy and crammed with flavor and texture. Cannot believe that it is vegan! They offer some wild toppings like a Szechuan chili crisp.
Wheel chair accessible. Menus are dark letters on yellow background, letters are small. Cannot wait to come back to monkey around with more flavors of great ice cream.
Vegetarian options: 4 vegan ice creams, several dairy free options
Dietary restrictions: vegan options, several dairy free options
Parking: Wheelchair access parking in free garages, and paid street parking, a short walk
Kid-friendliness: An ice cream parlour decorated with monkeys!! Super kid friendly
Wheelchair accessibility: All wheelchair accessible,

Ordered the pistachio ice cream and it was just not good. Tasted more like a chocolate ice cream. Overpriced for the portion as well. Won’t be going back.

Dietary restrictions: I am lactose intolerant so having ice cream isn’t usually a pleasant experience for me. Most ice cream shops usually only have one or two flavors (one of which is typically vanilla) but they had a much better variety of choices, not to mention a cherry cola slushy!
Kid-friendliness: The store has a very fun retro classic ice cream shoppe vibe, lots of bright colors and some interesting art work on the wall too.

Really was not impressed by this establishment when I visited.
1. Customer service not great
2. There was a black hair in my ice cream. I told him, and he did apologize and made me a fresh scoop - while ensuring he was stepped further away from the freezer (no hair tie or hair net when dealing with food???????)
3. The place seems pretty filthy, see photo. Old food on the floor and attracted ants. Food between the seats
Taste and experience was not worth the price unfortunately

If I could leave a review without leaving any star, I would. First of all, I live 2 hours away and decided to come to Hyde Park and check out some new stores.
I made a stop at Oddfellows icecream shop since I have 2 teenagers and a niece. Went in, there was no, “hello.” There was no “Welcome in!” I looked up at the screen to wait to see if I could see the prices. Didn’t realize they were painted on the wall so I asked, “where can I find the prices,” the guy working just pointed. I asked if it were ok that I tried a certain flavor I had my eye on, again, he said absolutely nothing, just grabbed the spoon and gave me a sample. My sister then walked over to me and said “I just purchased the single scoop in a cup and a slushee and it was $18 (not including the tip she left).
I would just like to point out how expensive they are and how customer service does not exist. I will never be back. The owner or manager might want to give the skinny guy with black hair some customer service training. I didn’t see any sticker saying that he was nonverbal or deaf so there’s no excuse.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

I loved OddFellows. We actually went twice during our trip. The icecream was delicious. I also loved the Hyde Park area where they are located.

The worst soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had. Tasted like ice milk. Not creamy at all. The chocolate part of my twist cone tasted like they use a chocolate flavoring like cheap fudge pops.
One employee...15 people waiting...customer service is poor!

Oddfellows was delicious. They allowed us to try a few flavors before we went with a single waffle cone of half Key Lime Pie and half Passion Fruit Apricot Pistachio (highly appreciate them allowing me to split flavors) and a single waffle cone of Coffee Crunch. We are definitely looking forward to going back some day.
