We went to Oggi's this evening for an enjoyable Italian experience. We have traveled to Rome, Naples, & Florence where we experienced authentic Italian cuisine. I have to say this restaurant made us feel like we were back there. The ambiance was spot on. We sat outside in the alleyway which gave us the feeling of being In Trastevere. We enjoyed a 4 course meal and a red Tuscan Italian wine. The food was phenomenal! Our waitress, Hunter was very attentive without being obtrusive. All in all it was a 5-star experience right here in Tampa Bay's Davis Island. Try Oggi's for an imaginary escape to Italy!

Food was subpar. It was not hot. There were crab shells in the crabcakes and chunks of plastic in the ice cream. We enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter was great. But...we will not be going back to Oggi's.

Such a beautiful and authentic atmosphere! The service was very friendly, helpful and accommodating . Food was good, but it wasn't great. Pasta and sauce came out colder. We have tried the meatballs which were made from beef and pork, but the pork flavor was just too strong and texture wasn't it.

I’m not one to leave reviews but this place was lackluster and subpar (and that’s putting it nicely) Our server was not friendly, had an attitude, and you could tell he did not want to be there. It showed in how he spoke to us throughout dinner. The diced tomatoes mix they use for their bruschetta was sitting on the counter in a massive tub. Nothing against it being premade, but to have it sitting out for god knows how long is gross. The bread was stale. We got two Cesar salads that were WARM and wilted. The Cesars were a “slight upgrade” per the server, which ended up being $10. Money isn’t a problem, but most restaurants don’t have a salad being a $10 “slight upgrade.”My pesto gnocchi was barely warm when I got it.This place is trash. Go to Casa Stefano, Timpano, or even Carabba’s for that matter.

Food was great. The outdoor alley seating had us feel like we were in an Italian village.

This place has a great vibe. That is the only good thing I can say. The service was mediocre. The food was so so bad, we're not picky eaters normally, but still ate it because it was food and it was past dinner time. At +$30 a person I can't understand why, except maybe they spend all the money on the lease? Seriously the worst food we've had. What you can't see in the photos is the layer of cooking oil. This place is always packed, wish I'd read the reviews...

Oggi may be my favorite Italian restaurant in Tampa. It is AMAZING. First of all, the ambience is incredible. It is so cozy, cute, with the twinkly lights and the red checkered tablecloths - you feel like you're having dinner at your italian family member's house. Next, the service is excellent. The servers are knowledgable and have great recommendations. The wine selection is also great. Although everything already mentioned is great, the real stand out here is the food. It is INSANELY good. The complimentary bread and bruschetta is great to start. Last time we went, we got the cheese board, which was huge. Then I got the pistachio chicken cutlet with penne in the princess sauce. That princess sauce is to DIE for. SO good. But you can customize your side pasta and sauce to whatever you want. Love that aspect of the menu. My husband got veal parm and he said it was one of the best he's ever had. Literally obsessed with Oggi and already asking my husband when he wants to go back there for date night!

The wait to get seated was insane even with a reservation I think we waited an hour. I was a bit confused about the hype around this joint because the food quality wasn't matching the recs. I got the pistachio chicken which I was very intrigued by and excited for but something about it just didn't hit. Strange background flavor I couldn't put my finger on Someone else get it and get back to me.

The quality of the food has declined significantly since our last visit. The lasagna red sauce was cold and very clearly reheated. Likewise, the butternut squash ravioli were clumped together in cheese that also appears to be reheated. Disappointing to see the loss in authenticity in favor of commercialized, overpriced food.

Big fan of the food and the vibe of this restaurant. My wife and I always order a carafe of wine and our kids love the kids menu. Would be 5 stars if they offered fresh grated cheese - which surprises me they don’t offer it given how fresh everything else is.

The ambiance for Oggi's was nice. We had high hopes for the food due to the location of this restaurant. Our table had the lasagna and meatball dinner. Each dinner cost $27 a piece. The dinner salads with their dressing was good. The 2 large meatballs were bland, tasted like plain ground beef. The marinara sauce was bland and watery, the sauce didn't stick to the penne pasta at all. The lasagna was meaty, not very much cheese, bland due to lack of seasoning and the same marinara sauce that was used. Both meals arrived cool, we sent the lasagna back to have it warmed up. When it returned 5 minutes later, it was still cool. Bread was not refreshed on the table to eat with the tomato mixture that was served when we sat down. For dessert we had the cannolis and tiramisu. Both on a dish that had the same green decorative sauce on plate plus many small chocolate chips sprinkled on top. Both of these desserts were just okay. We were asked if we wanted espresso, after our desserts arrived, so by the time the espresso arrived we were basically finished with dessert. The bottle of Rose' we shared at the table was delicious, and it was kept cold in a wine holder. Water was provided in a glass bottle, so we could replenish as needed. The server did not check on us during the meal. It took several minutes to flag him down to let him know about our cool meal. There were several servers just standing by the entrance of the restaurant just talking a bit loudly while we were trying to eat. All in all, we ate the food, which we considered to be just "food".

I often walk past Oggi Italian on Davis Island and it always has a very lively atmosphere. So, I finally decided to try it after a friend recommended it for dinner. It was very easy to get a reservation despite it being more of a last-minute weekend plan. I got a fresh fruity lemonade as well as the rigatoni italia which came with a side salad. The Cesar side salad was simply delicious! It was really nice to have a side of fresh greens since the rigatoni Italia is a creamier, heavy pasta (I ended up taking half the meal to go because it was so rich). The pasta was loaded with prosciutto coto and the mushroom cream sauce...so cheesy and savory! I wouldn't say that Oggi has the most authentic Italian food, but if you're looking for something indulgent and comforting, then this is the place to go. I also really appreciated that the entree came with a fresh espresso at the end--that little touch did transport me to Italy! Overall, would recommend this place for a date night or special event. The prices are a bit high, but entrees come with salad and espresso, and the portions are decent as well.

The food was very disappointing. Especially considering the price. Which is especially upsetting since the ambience and service was great. I got the wine flight and the mini cups were not even filled half way. The meatballs tasted strange like almost fishy so we didn't finish them. My salmon came with pasta that had a bland and almost cardboard taste to them and the bread was absolutely soaked in oil. I asked for a caesar salad side and it was just lettuce, oil, and parmesan. We were so excited to get a tiramisu for dessert but didn't because we didn't want to be disappointed again.
