I like this restaurant. Almost gave them 3 or 4 stars overall because the bartender tried to reserve a first come first serve bar table for her friends who weren’t even there yet while I was literally walking to the table the hostess told me to sit at. But they removed the reserved sign and in the end my server was great (again, it was a first come first serve section). Guard was up after that but they made me feel welcomed so it’s all good. The dry aged ribeye at $48 with two sides was a bargain for the quality. I’ll visit them again

I try to have lunch with my retired friends every Friday, but I had cancer surgery a couple years ago. As a result, I have almost no teeth on the bottom of my mouth. My friend, Mike, loves your restaurant and requested that have a soup available for me. Since I can't chew, I had to pass on the chicken noodle vegetable you offered. Thank you for making effort.

We had a fantastic dinner. The strip mall is very non-descript, but it is quite nice inside, especially as we were seated in the back room. We enjoyed everything about our dinner. The Shut Up and Pasta was such a unique twist, and I thought mine was thoroughly enjoyable. Noise levels were very good and we would go back in a heartbeat.

No salmon on a croissant sandwich, per their picture. No host. Waited a minute. Went to the bar area. Not a lot of expendable income for us these days means only going for what we want on the rare chance we can afford it.

We dined two consecutive nights. I had seafood dishes both times—absolutely fantastic. My hubby had pasta and his was just as delicious. On our visits to Tampa, this is our favorite restaurant.

Pane Rustica is one of our favorite go-to dining spots. Newer server there was ok, not as good as some of the others. Had to ask him to check on a substitution when he told me “can't be done.” But of course the wonderful folks there did allow that substitution. Was just a bit off putting, and wish he just said, “let me ask.” The halibut was a great piece of fish, but it was drowned in oil. Made everything on the plate, including the roasted asparagus soggy and greasy, and had no hint of white wine as stated in the menu preparation. My husband always gets the harvest salad and loves it. Just hoping that these remarks help to better things, because we love going there.

Second time here since they switched the chef a few years ago. Food was bland. Miss the old dishes such as the mushroom pasta and the old preparation of the scallops. No clear options for vegetarians/vegans. Attention to detail from the staff is lacking. Watched an expo person that clearly didn't know the sections, attempting to give food to the wrong tables, multiple times. Drinks took a while to get. By the time I was done with my entree, the server came around and realized the drinks we ordered 15-20 minutes before weren't there. Burger was very bland. Had to dip it in ketchup to make it edible and asked for salt and pepper because it wasn't even seasoned. My wife's dish was “OK”. Sadly, won't be coming back to this restaurant for dinner service. Very disappointed. Cushions on booth and literally falling apart. Might as well take them off and let the customer sit in the wood.

Easily wins many stars for the DARKEST restaurant in town. During our last 3 dinners at pane rustics we asked guests at nearby tables and 100% said too dark. On one occasion we brought our own battery table lamp and received great pleasantries from nearby tables. We will not go back until they provide more light.

It’s a neighborhood favorite for a reason! Always great food, friendly service, and just around the corner. Do try to set space aside for their awesome bakery!!!

We stopped in early Friday evening and they were able to accommodate us adding one more person. We sat in a back room. We all enjoyed our meals, but I gambled on the 'shut up and pasta " i won the lottery! Mine was so fantastic and the surprise made it even better!
