I stopped eating Panera about a year ago mainly due to portions shrinking and the prices increasing. I still go to get occasionally to their Ice tea and today I had a $3 off a pick two. I decided to give it another shot. I got a salad and the fireside chili. The Chili is baically brown water and the salad is basically lettuce with little to no toppings. It was a great reminder not eat their food again.

Their seasonal butternut squash soup is amazing!! Unfortunately, the service is not as good as it used to be. Staff lacks knowledge and just general courtesy. No one wears their name tag and when I asked what someone’s name was, they asked me why.?? It’s worth a drive to go to Hillsborough or Waters Avenue. Definitely better customer service there..

The kitchen sink cookie 🍪 is a MUST.
Our vet is down the road and we're able to wait here, work, and eat.
Gotta love the rewards too.

This Panera is trash. They always get our orders wrong even though I don’t customize nor ask for anything special. They have given us significantly lower quality/excessively smaller portions than other Paneras and the people who work at this one are so rude and play around instead of work. The whole restaurant itself is filthy and smells very badly or burnt bread. The ceiling is stained yellow and very dirty. The floors, seats, tables are dirty and you can tell are probably never cleaned.
Stopped by Panera for a quick bite and, as always, they didn’t disappoint! I grabbed the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and a side of Broccoli Cheddar Soup with chips — the perfect combo. And yes, I couldn’t resist the Oatmeal Berry Cookie for a little sweet finish. The best part? The cashier was an absolute delight to chat with, making the quick run even brighter. Always a win at Panera!

Panera pushes these chips as if they’re a clean, wholesome snack — “kettle cooked,” “sea salt,” and “only three ingredients.” Don’t be fooled. This is classic health-washing.
• “Kettle cooked” just means they’re fried in small batches, not that they’re healthier. In fact, this process often absorbs more oil, making them heavier and greasier.
• Vegetable oils (corn, canola, sunflower) are the cheapest, most inflammatory oils on the market. They’re highly refined, oxidize under high heat, and pump your body with excess omega-6 fats that drive systemic inflammation and arterial damage.
• Fried potatoes form acrylamides — toxic compounds linked to cancer — every time they’re cooked at high temperatures.
• Sea salt sounds wholesome, but in reality it’s just refined sodium chloride. Pair that with the high carb load from potatoes, and you’ve got a blood pressure and blood sugar spike waiting to happen.
These aren’t a “better” option. They’re the same empty-calorie, inflammatory junk as gas station chips, dressed up with fancy packaging and the Panera name to trick health-conscious customers. Consumers deserve transparency, not marketing gimmicks.
If Panera wants to offer a truly healthy snack, they should stop hiding behind buzzwords and start with better oils and cooking methods. Right now, these chips are nothing more than junk food in disguise.
