I have had better Cubans- the pork was like strings, barely any ham and salami - 3 pickles and one piece of cheese, very little mayo/mustard. Save your money, go anywhere else for a good Cuban and friendlier service!

Very good, freshly made sandwich counter with several options. Don't be fooled by it being in a gas station.

The lady who took my order is very absentminded,after telling her how to make my sandwich,she acted as if I was bothering her,and I looked over order,there were no lettuce an tomatoes,or any condiments on sandwich,so I was prompt to tell her she did that last time I came an got home unhappy,then she put chopped up tomatoes on my sandwich,big shreds of lettuce as if she was making a salad.Im not going there anymore her eyes are rude

The quality of the food was ok, the service less than that, I stopped in because the sign out front advertises a bogo sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich, and that's what I ordered and after about 7 min the lady hands me a bag with one sandwich in it, I asked where's the bogo and was told I didn't order that. And When I asked for the other sandwich the lady said no. ? I would think she could of shown better customer service skills and the basic courtesy when someone orders your advertised bogo item to confirm that they only want one sandwich, how was I supposed to know it has to be rang up differently.. that's poor customer service.

In general the food is excellent. The Cuban sandwich is awesome. Black beans and rice are the best I ever had.

I googled this place and when I pulled up it was inside a gas station..? probably the best cuban sandwich I have ever had ...it was really good .. restaurant space looked clean as well .... A must try

Here is a little hidden gem that makes quality Cubans that aren't over priced. The 7inch is more than enough to fill me up and I'm 230lbs hahaha. They don't skimp on the meat and it's fresh roasted pork is top notch. This can compete with la Segunda and Brocatos anyday!

It’s a long-standing family tradition of ours that we do Cuban sandwiches on Friday nights. With tickets to see Brad Paisley at the amphitheater on Friday we fully expected to miss this weeks sandwich consumption session. Fending off our anxious anticipation of the start of the show, the tension was interrupted, like a beacon in the night, by the Papa Joe’s Cuban sandwich purveyor. A gift from the heavens. The sandwich was pretty dang good and it was still piping hot. Viva los Papa Joe and his killer Cuban sandwiches.

Pretty decent food for the price. I ordered 2 sausage egg and cheese sandwiches, a potato salad and a devil crab. The sandwiches were pretty good and tasty and the potato salad was delicious. The crab wasn’t too good and tasted like nothing that after the first bite I just tossed it. Overall good food.

If you want awesome food at great prices then look no further than Papa Joe's Cuban Sandwich Shop.They are amazing. Follows directions perfectly. I don't know where to start. So far, everything i tried is tasty, and I've tried close to half their menu so far..Cuban sandwich is great, Meatball sammich is yummy. BLT is good. Italian sandwich is good.. Breakfast potatoes are really good and if you ask them to add salt and pepper to them, they are seasoned to perfection.Also you can order them anytime of the day.The Cuban toast with cheese is my favorite in Tampa. The stuffed potato is very good and the Devil Crab is a show stopper. It is big, really big. I usually can only eat half and put the other half away for later. For $5 it seems impossible to create a crab of its magnitude.And last but not least,... the potato salad is on check. I ain't gonna lie, if they sold it in quart size containers I would never make or buy potato salad again. If it is pre-made, it is the best I have ever had.Give them a try, you won't be sorry.Thanks Steve and the rest of the crew, you ROCK and take customer service to a whole new level.

Cheese steak sandwich was awesome !!! But the Cuban sandwich is definitely a need to try… the hot pork always is on point and the press umm umm ummm !!! Definitely recommend!!!

Friendly guy, not sure if he owns the place but it seems that way. Cuban was good. A place can't survive making Cubans in Tampa if they're not good. The stuffed potato is the best one I've had since I visited Miami. I normally don't order another potato from the same place twice, but I will be getting one every time I order from here. Everyone else here at work enjoyed what they ordered as well.Thanks!
