Having read about Piccolo Buco in the Tampa Bay Times, I was very excited to dine here. Upon arrival, the hosts seemed stressed. They asked if we had reservations; we replied no, and they said it would be a 1-hour wait. We decided to leave, but then changed our mind and made a reservation on OpenTable, which showed a wait time of 15 minutes, which was much better. The hosts seemed annoyed that we were back with our reservation this time. Luckily, after that, we had terrific service. Our server, Lauren, was so helpful in guiding us through the menu with recommendations. Her energy was radiant, and we felt very much in good hands. The food was delicious. The crust was out of this world. I was so impressed with our server, Lauren, the menu, and the restaurant's concept. I was hoping to share with management but every manager that walked by appeared visibly unapproachable. I’m not sure if it was an off day for them, but if it wasn’t for the pleasant energy and smiles from our server and back servers. I’m not sure I’d recommend this place. Hopefully, they employ more people with a heart and passion for hospitality. Thank you Lauren for being such a stellar server. They are lucky to have you.

Pizza and eggplant parm are really good. Not too heavy but tasty. Inside was kind of loud. Outside was ok.

Visited Piccolo Buco the first time and proudly became a wine club member after considering joining at Cooper’s Hawk for several years! You can use it at both locations. The whole place was busy early afternoon and bar offers weekday 2pm HH. There’s a wine tasting area upon entry like Cooper’s Hawk. Beyond the host stand is the bar and 5-6 tables that are come first come first serve. They recently opened so book your reservation to dine in the dining room during regular dinner hours. Came here for the Neapolitan style pizza- it’s about time the area got a nice place offering this with the real deal ovens. They have a yellow tomato sauce option (red & white too), which was unique. Ingredients were fresh and crust was light, pillowy with some char and chew as it should. Arancini and lunch sandwich offerings are delicious too. Service could improve- likely over time once in the groove.

This was my first time and it was a great experience! We had a reservation so we got seated right away. Our server Brooke was so sweet and made great recommendations. The shrimp pasta was delicious, I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes!

We had Brooke as our server and she was amazing. Super knowledgeable about the different wine selection and also provided us with great recommendations, my favorites were the Squash Blossoms, Yellow Classic Margherita Pizza, and Mama Luca's Tiramisu. We will be returning and requesting her!!

I had a great experience here. The food was delicious. I got the chicken parm and it was outstanding. It is super busy for a good reason - it’s good. Our server, Brooke, did an amazing job. Very friendly and informative. Will definitely be back!

Only issue, no tap to pay 11/25/25
I’m lucky I had some cash in the car.

Otherwise I had a great experience here. They can make anything gluten free w/ rice flour so it’s perfect for me, since I can’t have regular flour/bread.

And all the ingredients are imported from Italy—they make all their own dough and pasta, etc.

I had the short rib, it was so damn flavorful. I also had a GF meat and cheese yellow pizza—it was bomb 💣

Wish i took a photo but I inhaled it all so fast!

It’s a new restaurant, packed, 1 hour and a half wait to get a table, food was ok, very salty, tasted almost like frozen food. It’s an American restaurant saying they are Italian, as an Italian myself, a good place to try for real Italian food is Sogna Napoli, they make everything from scratch and it’s amazing. This place is just a chain from Coopers hawk. Attention was ok but if you want Italian food go to a REAL ITALIAN restaurant with ITALIAN OWNERS.

Heard about it before, but this was my first time here. Caesar with the egg yolk really stood out for me. Delicious. Brooke's recommendations and service were fantastic!

Piccolo Buco in Tampa completely exceeded my expectations. A big shout-out to Brittany in the tasting room who creates an exceptional tasting experience with her knowledge and passion.

The food here is truly something special. The zucchini blossoms were exceptional, and the eggplant Parm tasted so authentic it took me right back to my aunt’s house in southern Italy. The chicken Parmesan is bursting with flavor, especially with the touch of fennel pollen that takes it to another level. The yellow tomato bisque has instantly become my new favorite soup of all time. The yellow sauce pizza is out of this world. And you absolutely have to try the olive oil — it’s outstanding and really shows the level of quality they put into everything.

Everything is high quality, full of flavor, and prepared with incredible care. In my honest opinion, this place outshines any other Italian restaurant in the Tampa area. I’m so happy that the Cooper’s Hawk team was able to bring a taste of Rome to Tampa. The ultimate goal is to visit the main Piccolo Buco in Rome.

Extremely disappointed, they couldn't seat a group of 5, they have a max of 4. We asked for a table for 3 and another for 2 relatively close and they still said no. The restaurant was relatively empty. This is a Monday at 12 noon. How sad.
