Having read about Piccolo Buco in the Tampa Bay Times, I was very excited to dine here. Upon arrival, the hosts seemed stressed. They asked if we had reservations; we replied no, and they said it would be a 1-hour wait. We decided to leave, but then changed our mind and made a reservation on OpenTable, which showed a wait time of 15 minutes, which was much better. The hosts seemed annoyed that we were back with our reservation this time. Luckily, after that, we had terrific service....
Visited Piccolo Buco the first time and proudly became a wine club member after considering joining at Cooper’s Hawk for several years! You can use it at both locations. The whole place was busy early afternoon and bar offers weekday 2pm HH. There’s a wine tasting area upon entry like Cooper’s Hawk. Beyond the host stand is the bar and 5-6 tables that are come first come first serve. They recently opened so book your reservation to dine in the dining room during regular...
This was my first time and it was a great experience! We had a reservation so we got seated right away. Our server Brooke was so sweet and made great recommendations. The shrimp pasta was delicious, I can’t wait to come back and try other dishes!
