I've come here several times. The food is always on point. Keeping to the classic Chicago way. Everything is messy to eat, which is part of the experience. There's plenty of napkins. If you have never been here start with the Italian beef. Get it dipped if you don't mind a soft sandwich wet sandwich. The bread will hold up the best it can.
The service is usually great. I've had a few incidents where the counter staff was kind of too relaxed. But most of the time they are happy and great.

Terrible experience. I paid $200 for a deep clean and my apartment was NOT CLEAN AT ALL!!! See photos for reference, those were taken after! The vacuum iPhoto is from what I vacuumed after they left. In addition, no one from the company took accountability or apologized for the terrible job. They claimed they would refund me but it never came through. Now I’m having to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Do not recommend at ALL.

Absolutely loved it! Did not really feel like Fast Food and the quality was great! The decoration was astonishing and employees were super nice! Will definitely come back and recommend family and friends to come here so that they too can experience the same great experience that me and my wife had! Also the high chairs for babies it’s always a huge plus for any restaurant when they’re clean with theirs was. 5 stars all across for Portillos, the staff and the food!

I went through the drive thru and ordered the Italian beef & sausage sandwich with hot peppers. The sandwich was delicious with a nice kick to it. I will def be back!
I ordered online and went to pick it up inside. I was waiting forever many workers saw me and just kept walking around or goofing off. I finally went to the order area and asked where to pick up my online order. I was told to go to the bar area. Horrible customer service.

It's fast food but better. The shakes are great. Go with a chocolate malt to satisfy the sweet tooth in you. The burgers are okay and can be had as a lettuce wrap which is a plus. Just nothing special about them other than the ingredients are fresh, but the burger itself just okay overall. The Chicago dog is good and can be hit or miss on being a true garden on the dog versus a wrapped up mess once you uncover it. The chili dog, skip that. It's a hot mess. And the polish, that is something nice. Great link and flavor, but could be just a hot mess once unwrapped sometimes. This was one of those times. Overall. It's a decent place with a fun vibe.
