Queen Shiba is hands-down one of my favorite spots in Tampa. The food is amazing—so fresh, flavorful, and comforting. You can tell every dish is made with real love. The meat dishes, especially the tibs and kitfo, are out of this world. Every bite reminds you why homemade food just hits different.
But honestly, what makes Queen Shiba truly special is Seble, the owner. She’s one of those people who instantly makes you feel like family. Ever since my first visit, she’s greeted me with the warmest smile and genuine kindness. She truly cares about her customers, and it shows. She’s built something that feels more like a community than just a restaurant. Seble and her team have created something truly beautiful here—a little piece of Ethiopia in the heart of Tampa.
You don’t just go to Queen Shiba to eat—you go to feel at home. The atmosphere, the people, the love in the food—it all comes together perfectly.

Words cannot describe how amazing this place was. The Ethiopian spices were beyond good. If you think this food is spicy or too much, you need to increase your tolerance lol. My party had the queen’s eight, beef and lamb tibs and my God it was so good. Not to mention the owner was so incredibly nice and friendly. Made me feel so welcome. Cannot recommend it enough and will be coming back!

Such a positive experience! It was our first time trying Ethiopian and we had little idea what we’d experience going in. The sampler 8 platter and appetizer sampler for 2 were excellent choices. The Ye Misr Wot was our favorite of the vegetarian dishes. Server was so very helpful, friendly and informative. Glad to find this place :)

Food was really good but they included the tip without me knowing since they dont really give you the check but hold the machine and then the machine asked for tip again which I didnt know that it was already included. That was sneaky, dont think I will be back. I would not leave 50 percent tip.also tgey charge you a credit card fee on top of that
