Worst service ever! The bartender working tonight asked me and my boyfriend for IDs as soon as we walked in a very rude way, no hello no how are u guys; and asked me and my boyfriend to leave the place as if he owns it. He had very nasty attitude, this was our first time in this bar and last, we will never comeback!

Great bar filled with great people as for the "True Traveler's" review the bartender he posted a picture of is from Boston so "Redneck Face" is comical. I've been going here for years and not once seen anyone that works there be unkind to someone who didn't deserve it. That guy is a joke Well done Retreat Staff see y'all soon

5/10/24 I guess my profile makes an impact on people some positive, some negative, some rudeness comes out, this bartender had that redneck face on me, when I asked what's good, not Latino friendly, I am a polite Latino, I automatically apologized for being at this location, that made him calmed down a little, he still gave me a cheap beer , instead of the Stella I asked for, been drinking for 45 years. He hardly shows customer service with me , he was cool W/ the white folks. I moved away to finish my beer and left. If u belong to a minority group, stay away. Play it safe and go where u feel welcome.

Definitely in my top 3 favorite bars in Tampa! The staff is knowledgable & the drinks are good. There is smoking inside, so be aware when you go, but the drinks are inexpensive & there’s a jukebox, so there’s all kinds of music for everyone! Darts, pool, video games & a food truck on the weekends make this a great spot to hang out!

The Retreat is the best dive bar in Tampa! The bartenders are the most real humans and for that, I love em. The bar has a laid back feel with darts, pool tables, electronic games and my favorite... TouchTunes! Dressed up or dressed down, The Retreat always makes you feel welcome. Drinks aren't bad either! :)
