The food is very delicious and at a good price, and the restaurant managers are very attentive, they are beautiful people that I miss.I live in Clearwater and every time I had a chance my daughters and I would go out to eat and have a really nice time. I'm waiting for them to open so I can go right away.
Rats? Naaaaa Brooo, There was one of those weird flying Florida roaches break dancing on my rice like it was fresh from taking a shot of casamigos, those things scare meMore than Thunder & lighting with metal underwear running through the rain
I walked 2 days to make it here, just to find out its closed, yes I WALKED, because im too broke to own a car, and it was even raining. What a horrible way to find out a Place is “TEMPORARILY CLOSED”. But at least the rats I seen through the windows looked dry & warm, oh well, maybe next time

I try to be fair when I give reviews. This seems like a family restaurant that just opened, so that is the only reason I did not give them 1 star. The meat was cold. I had to ask to warm it up in a microwave. And it tasted horrible. The worst part is that my plate had green bananas and meat and charged me $15+ $2 for the soda. When I inquired about the price for two items, the person behind the counter gave me a piece of yuca, smh... Maybe because I'm from up north and I'm used to going to busy, good Dominican restaurants, but this was a less than mediocre experience. Won't be coming back here.
I go here specifically for their breakfast, I really enjoy their tres golpes and their drinks. I have had dinner their about 2-4 times but it wasn’t my favorite. The restaurant could use a little renovation but the staff is super friendly and they’re attentive and quick!!

My recent dining experience at Sabor a Merengue was nothing short of exceptional! From start to finish, every aspect of our meal was delightful, leaving us with a truly memorable experience. The authenticity and flavor of the food were outstanding. We indulged in their signature dish, Tres Golpes, which was a perfect harmony of fried eggs, salami, and fried cheese served with mangu. Each component complemented the other, creating a symphony of deliciousness on our palates. The Arroz Blanco was fluffy and cooked to perfection, and the Frijoles Rojos were a delightful burst of flavors that perfectly accompanied the rest of our meal. And, oh, the Chicharrón! Crispy, flavorful, and simply irresistible. The warm and welcoming ambiance of the restaurant added to the enjoyment of our evening. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel like part of the Sabor a Merengue family. If you're seeking an authentic taste of Dominican cuisine, look no further than Sabor a Merengue. Their dedication to providing top-notch dishes, combined with their genuine hospitality, sets them apart from the rest. I cannot wait to return and explore more of their menu!Highly recommended for anyone craving an unforgettable Dominican dining experience. Thank you, Sabor a Merengue, for a truly fantastic meal! ???️
