This place is fantastic! Food, ambiance, and service were top-notch. Their manager, Paul, might be the best restaurant manager I've interacted with in the last few years. He and the whole staff made the experience truly memorable. I'm looking forward to my next visit to Tampa.

Thanksgiving dinner, we were seated at a cocktail table and expected to eat a full meal leaning over a little table. When we asked to move to a real table they told me they only had one high top available even though that was what we reserved. The server was polite but we were her only table outside so she forgot about us. We ordered our dessert to go at the beginning and they brought us our entire meal to go. The waitress walked to three other tables before bringing it back to the kitchen only to have it come out cold. The quality of the food was poor. Dinner with two drinks each with mandatory 20% tip cost $250.

The staff deserves real credit. Their hospitality was on point all evening. Professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You can tell they take pride in creating a smooth and enjoyable experience from the moment you step off the elevator.
We recently hosted an event there and our entire crowd had an incredible experience. The space elevated the night, the service kept everything flowing, and the overall environment made it easy for everyone to enjoy themselves.

I was there for an event this past Thursday called The Brand Social hosted by Eleven Agency and my mind was blown away by the energy and world class vibes! Not only was the rooftop view amazing but the hospitality was also top tier! Anytime I’m in Tampa it’s a must I visit Sal Y Mar!

I’ve been to Sal Y Mar many times over the years. Absolutely have loved the rooftop vibe and Latin flair! They even had a live electric violinist one time and I booked him for my own event, since he was amazing! Most recently, I’ve really enjoyed the chicken chimichurri and the tostones are so authentic! They also have some really amazing Zero Proof options. My favorite is the Softcore Pornstar (that’s the name lol), and it’s made with real passionfruit juice. Delicious! I also need to shout out Carlos, one of the servers. I dine out frequently and WOW! He’s such an attentive and genuinely caring server. Truly wants to ensure you have a wonderful experience. Sal Y Mar is SO blessed to have him! Thank you Carlos for such a wonderful dining experience!

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed; the food, drinks, and overall atmosphere were all fantastic.
We also had the opportunity to speak with Annette after dinner, and we shared how much we enjoyed everything. The DJ truly made the night; the energy was perfect, the music was on point, and honestly, I would come back just for him and the Pornstar Martini!
It was our first night out, and were so glad we chose Sal y Mar. Thank you for the hospitality and for creating such a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back and will be recommending the restaurant to others.
