An amazing experience at SATA Empanada. Nader and his team create something truly special here. The empanadas are incredibly fresh, perfectly balanced in flavor, and clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. Every bite feels authentic and homemade. Absolutely delicious food! The owner/chef was SO nice and welcoming. Everything we ate was delicious and so affordable. Had nice little picnic tables we could sit at and wait while he made the food so we could take it to go. Can’t wait to come back and try the veggie burger next!

The owners are super friendly and kind who will put a smile on your face. They give you a sample of lentil soup while you’re waiting. Of course their empanadas are always delicious, fresh and hot. They make the the effort of having dual-language menu (immaculately hand painted) and trying to speak English for non-spanish speakers. I love the attention to details like the little bag of utensils/napkins, the little bags the food comes in and the to-go bag that holds all of it.

This was my first time trying Sata Empanas on Dale Mabry. I had the beef and the chicken one. They were both delicious and the portion size was great. The shell was fried well with no burnt spots like sometimes occurs on other places where I’ve gotten an Empanada.
I also tasted the lentil soup and it was very flavorful.
The owner was really personable and courteous. The prices were really reasonable. You can get items to go or you can sit at one of the two small tables outside as there’s no indoor dining. I recommend this place.

what a gem this place is and the owner is so so so incredibly sweet 🥹 the complimentary lentil soup was delicious as well as the empanadas, he really has it all down. they weren’t greasy or heavy and so flavorful! absolutely support this little place, my partner said he could sell her dirt and she’d be happy lollll
