This place always has a healthy crowd of regulars. Service is good, food arrives quickly and I'm able to eat here on a 45 minute lunch break. What keeps me coming back is the food. The presentation is beautiful and it tastes amazing. This is the best Thai food in Tampa!

I lived in Temple Terrace some years ago and would regularly eat at Sawatdee. It was one of my favorite places! Carefully prepared food, pretty Thai decor, nice service. I moved away, but was in Temple Terrace recently so I wanted to stop in. All the pretty decor had been removed, and replaced with a minimalist/modern look! Really took away from the atmosphere in my opinion. We ordered our favorite dishes that we used to get a few years ago and they were unfortunately really mediocre. The tom kha soup was very sweet, way too much sugar -- and as a result, it was hard to pick up on all the other flavors. Both the Massaman Curry and the Amazing lacked flavor and were very soupy and watery, as opposed to thick and creamy. The pot stickers were the best thing we had but even then, they weren't particularly notable.My understanding is that it's under a different management than when I used to patronize the establishment years ago. I would love to love this place as I have so many good memories of the delicious food, but the recipes need to be fine tuned. If the kitchen was committed to preparing better dishes I would overlook the poor decision to redecorate and give them my business.As for the service it was fine for us, but nothing particularly notable. After reading some other reviews regarding the wait staff, and seeing the unprofessional responses from management, I'm disappointed.Typically I only leave reviews if I give five stars, but I wanted to offer feedback on my experience, because I really would like to see this restaurant return to outstanding food and better service.

Had a wonderful dining experience at Sawatdee Tampa! Delicious and fresh seafood, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. Prices are reasonable with good portions. It's a decent option for uncomplicated dining experience without any frills.

The food and service were really good. I wasn’t too impressed with the summer rolls. But the beef Pad See-Ew was very good. And the Thai donuts were delicious. I also enjoyed the Sake and Thai iced tea. Overall it was a good experience. Will go back again.
