The food is just bad. Miso soup wasn't edible. Teriyaki chicken was flavourless and texture was off. California roll was just passable. Barely. The food here is inferior and you shouldn't spend money here IMHO.

Important to note: 15213 N Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33618 is NOT all you can eat. We made a huge mistake and came here when we found out my mom had cancer & it was awful & you pay a lot for very little. Never again. The other shogun is over and beyond way better. I literally cried. Going there just made the day worse. Also the bathroom was disgusting & no toilet paper. Don't waste ur time or money.

EVERYTHING was perfectly delicious and the whole place was spotless. The food came out super fast and our waitress was smiling and actually seemed happy to be there. It’s just a hole in the wall, but we have found the place to come for sushi when we’re in Tampa! This is the way it should always be when you’re eating out.

Sashimi was warm and weird like the yum yum sauce and the ginger dressing on the salad.
The waiter seemed to be rushing us as the sushi chef watched TV behind him. - To be fair it’s was rainy and slow but still I’m shocked at the amount of good reviews. I can still smell the soapy soup.
Oh, and there’s no toilet paper in the bathroom :)

Love the all you can eat sushi concept! There is also more to the menu like small dishes of hibachi steak, ramen, and tempura shrimps and veggies to select from. Our family was well pleased at the taste and small portion sizes which allowed us to taste test more dishes. Came on a weekend evening and dinner time was not that busy - immediate seating for our large group.
