Small Giant - Bar and Restaurant

I live a block away, and I decided to walk in and order a pizza to go. The host convinced me to try the turkey club.

It took about 10-15 min for the pizza and turkey club to be ready. The turkey club was good, but in fairness it was sitting a bit before I got to it.

The pizza was absolutely delicious. I’m from the northeast so I’m a pizza snob and Tampa leaves much to be desired. I think this is my new favorite pizza in Tampa. It’s a thin crust pizza/bar style pizza. Delicious.

We come here at least twice a month. Food and drinks are always good, inside is petite and gets busy but outside is a vibe. Gabby is usually our server and she’s the best! Great service & staff. Thanks, Gabby ?

Really awful experience. The waitress was so nice but the service was horrible. Took 20 minutes to get our first drink. A dinner that should have taken an hour took almost 3 hours. Food was extremely mid for the price. Maybe it would be better for lunch or during the week. Too crazy on the weekend.

This place has sooooo much potential. This could be a gem in Channelside but the bartenders are absolutely terrible. They are so incredibly rude and miserable. As a former bartender, this is ridiculous!

Food and service is always quick and great! The cheesesteak egg rolls are my favorite ❤️ and they have nice cocktails and non alcoholic options including alcohol free liquor.

It’s like they don’t even want to have business. Got asked if we have a reservation (we don’t but there were so many openings on Open Table we thought it wouldn’t be an issue). Said we wanted inside (completely empty in the second room) then says they are fully booked unless you have a reservation so our options is the full bar or sitting outside. Bar is full, we ask about sitting outside but now we can’t do that either because it’s “about to rain.” It’s too bad, the food is great but like the other reviews show the service is just THAT bad where it’s not worth the headache.

We came here with a large group, ultimately we had to sit outside due to the smaller inside seating area. But the food was phenomenal we got all of the appetizers and all of them were fantastic minus the nachos… wouldn’t really call them nachos, they need more cheese and meat… they were basically chips and sour cream. We also shared some pizza’s and they were all very tasty and good! Great little spot to hit before a lightning game or even a concert.. or just a quick date night! Definitely would come back!

Over the last 4 months Small Giant has become one of our “go to” places and we’re there every 10-14 days. Bavarian pretzel, French dip, pizza, and Cobb salad are all ???

Love the vibe and feels like an old school neighborhood place.

Only give ambience 4 stars instead of 5 because it does get very loud and as someone who is hearing impaired, it can be tough at times. Some acoustic panels on the ceiling would help

Absolutely love this bar and Scott the GM. Great food and drinks… not to mention the carrot cake!! This place is worth a visit. Cheers.

Love this little bar and water Street. Every time we go we end up getting a different kind of pizza cuz they're always good. They have really good drinks and you get a great view of water Street with The Florida ceiling windows. We also have great service when we go there. Definitely cool little bar to check out.

I come here at lease once every quarter if not more! Everything I’ve had from here is great. The wings, burgers, pizza, drinks, tots, and the service! My favorite spot in Tampa.
