Still a great French bistro!.. Eat in with lots of great wines to chose from or take home killer french bread or a sweet treat. Romantic! for an evening date night.

After listening to the local news raving about this bakery and the great selections, I was excited to visit this place, since there are no real bakeries in the south. I traveled 45 minutes to find the place closed indefinitely. What!!?? The news was just here 3 Days ago!!! Found out personal problems kept this place from staying open. Don't know for sure! So I can't tell you anything about this place!!!

This was my first visit to So Gourmet and I’ll definitely be back. Note: this is not the place to visit if you are in a massive rush. The owners/staff take their time waiting on you. However, I find that part of the appeal (and it’s very true-to-Europe, they aren’t in a rush and neither should you). Once I ordered my food it arrived very quickly. I ordered the goat cheese salad and it was hands-down one of the best salads I’ve had in all of Tampa. Very generous portion of spinach, walnuts, and goat cheese. The dressing was subtle but perfect. The quiches and dessert on display looked amazing as well, but I did not try them. I’m very excited about this restaurant and will definitely return to try more menu items, especially breakfast.

This place is great. I think that many people, who wrote a negative review, need to travel more often. You want French style food but you want American style service. Well as the French say "tant pis." That isn't how it works, there is no waitress that kneels beside you with a big juicy smile, asks you how you are, even though they don't know you or care. This place has delicious food and has straight forward service. It is French food in America, and in Tampa, there is no better. So don't miss out. Go prepared to dine slow and enjoy sitting and talking to the person you came with, because if you are in a hurry, you missed the point of a lovely food and dining experience anyway.

Amazing NYE spread - truly unique dining experience in Tampa Bay - a hidden gem.

I had a prosciutto panini here yesterday. Absolutely delicious, the best sandwich I've had in years. Tasty, crunchy, well-balanced, not too much bread, great lunch! They also have the best omelets on the planet. Not the cheapest or fastest service, but if you are out to enjoy something simple and delicious, go there, it's worth it.

I live close to this cafe and have eaten there dozens of times and never been disappointed. It is owned and run by French ex pats, the husband is the chef and the wife works the front. The pastries are very good and the baguette is wonderful. However, what I usually order is an omelette which are the fluffiest and best tasting in the city. Try the ham, onion and goat cheese, you won't regret it.

A little piece of French in Tampa! Amazing baguettes and croissants!!! Pastries are delicious and beautiful! Salads and sandwiches are fresh. I just love this place!

20 minutes waiting to get the menu and the lady kept on telling us to wait while she brought menus to two table that came after us, went to the kitchen and out multiple times and when we finally get up to leave she looked at us and said she was ready to take our order (we never got the menu!). I guess they segregate at this place. That's all. The review isn't based on the food, since they did not want to serve us.

I live in the neighborhood and took a walk with my wife this morning. Strolled in to try this place out finally. We ordered the egg breakfast with cappuccino and took home the strawberry tart. The home fries are the best I have ever had in my life. Everything was on point. I always check the negative reviews to see what the complainers point out. I went in for food period and the results were outstanding. ILL BE BACK!

The best breakfast I have eaten outside of my wife's kitchen. The staff was very polite even though they needed help. My whole family enjoyed their meal . We will be back and will recommend to others.

Great food! Best pastries in town. Service is a little slow as its family owned and operated so minimal staff but definitely worth the wait.

NOT SO GOURMET AT ALL The truth about the most fake and horrible french Bakery in Tampa if you believed that So Gourmet is an authentic French Bakery, Cafè or whatever they are trying to do, well you should read this. And if you even comment how great is the food, then you should get a health check and adjust your taste bud, BECAUSE THE FRENCH COUPLES RUNNING THIS SHOP HAVE NO SHAME SELLING YOU STORE BOUGHT FACTORY MADE FOOD AND ROBBING YOU OF YOUR MONEY WITH THEY FAKE SMILE, AND WITH THE MOST HYPOCRITICAL SMILE, THINKING OUT LOUD AND TELLING THEY FRENCH BUDDY HOW AMERICAN HAVE NOT TASTE IN FOOD AND LAUGHING HOW EASY TO STILL YOUR HARD EARNED CASH. Now to the juicy part, so let me see, French Bakery Right... French Baguette: Frozen factory made, delivered twice a week Panini Bread: Frozen factory made, delivered twice a week sliced white Bread: Frozen factory made, delivered twice a week Burger Buns: Frozen factory made, delivered twice a week English Muffins: Frozen factory made, pre order 48 hours ahead because they are made in factory far away...... AND YES MR OF SO GOURMET A TURBOT CHEF IS A MICROWAVE OVEN. AND FOR ALL THE CUSTOMER THAT WONDER, ANY FOOD THAT IS PREPARED AND SERVED IN LESS THAT 10 MINUTES IS NOT FRESHLY MADE, TRUST ME I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. Now the owner are the first to complain how the food in America is bad, how the American have o taste or food education and that in Tampa there is not a single restaurant cooking Fresh food. HOWEVER THEY HAVE NO SHAME PULLING WOOL OVER THE CUSTOMER EYES. So my advices TO ANYONE is TO stay away, PS, all picture are real picture from SO GOURMET KITCHEN FREEZER. Have a great da
