I haven’t traveled to Cuba but this shop definitely makes me feel like I have in a past life. The sandwiches are packed with flavor, especially the Classic Cubano! Pork made fresh daily, shaved and slow cooked to perfection. The hot food is also served fresh and is great bang for your buck. Seating area is quiet, cool, and not much to say.

Take a trip down here and definitely try out that homemade Passionfruit smoothie.

I ordered through Uber eats. I specified i have a pork allergy and they sent me rice with bacon bits in it. The crab cake, tater tots, and steak were cold and greasy. The coconut flan is a tiny pre-packaged store store-bought cup. By Magyss desserts. I could have bought that cheaper at a convenience store. The café con leche was good. At 33.22 plus delivery, and tip, I paid over $50 for scrappy food. I chose this place due to proximity and unreliable ratings.

I highly recommend South Tampa Sandwich Shop! The Honey Cuban is simply incredible, and is a generous size. It was so satisfying that I could only finish half, making it perfect for sharing—though I must admit, I’m already eagerly anticipating the moment I can enjoy my leftover half! The hot food bar also looked enticing and delicious. My only regret is not discovering this gem sooner!

I’m glad we have this place so close to home in south Tampa! I’ve tried the Cuban sandwich and the Tuna sandwich and their cafe con leche and it was delicious and on point! I recommend calling your food ahead for pickup because it gets busy and it’s a small staff but the staff is super friendly and the food is freshly made and authentic!

Great breakfast, great sandwiches, great service, very nice staff. Today was the first time we went in for breakfast and we were glad we did. Menu prices are pretty good, certainly competitive on the area. I've had most of the sandwiches and every one has been wonderful. The place has a good menu, lots to choose from.

To me it doesn't matter how good the food is, if the service sucks you've lost my buisness. The past 3 times I've been in 2 of those it seemed to be an inconvenience but I was able to order. Today tho I walked in at 555 p.m. store closes at 7 and an employee was having a conversation in the other room and gave no acknowledgement during the time my husband and I stood and waited. After a few minutes of waiting to place an order and watching the employee and other person continue to coversate while looking at me waiting to order I left. The food here is great yes! But the employees seem bothered by patrons coming in to support local buisness. If you're gonna order save yourself the total shift of your mood for the day and do it thru door dash!

Delicious sandwiches and flan…try the Cuban!

Solid place. Cuban coffee. Decent breakfast platter and sandwiches. Not a fan of the hot food section for the price. Okay meat options but the rice was a little dried out.
