What a wonderful find on Davis Islands! Visiting the island for a few weeks and trying out the restaurants. We arrived early to miss the Friday night crowds and were greeted by the owner who explained the menu, specials and Italian wines. The food was amazing! Salads were very fresh and delicious, entrees were great and the gelato was fantastic! Throughout our relaxed meal the owner and waiters were attentive. Altogether a great experience and the owner even recommended another restaurant owned by a friend in Sarasota, our next stop!

Took my first communion at the age of 57. Not exactly. I’m a spirit filled Pentecostal gal. But, tonight I was confirmed within the Catholic Church.
Tonight was made even more special by the lovely meal I shared with my parents and my beloved at Spartaco’s. Great food. Great people. Great night. Thanks

Hands down the best Italian food we've had in Tampa and my husband is Italian and hard to please in that department 🤣
We even had an amazing alcohol free wine that was surprisingly delicious! We'll definitely be back!!!

The Mrs and I had date night at this excellent Northern Italian restaurant on our first night in TPA.

The menu is one page of finely curated options. Along with daily specials, they provide enough choices.

We started with Garganelli alla Riminese. This was accompanied by breads and the on tap Tuscan Red.

For entries, Mrs went with the Salmon special. It was baked so that it was still flaky and served in a light cream sauce and well matched with fresh root vegetables.

I selected the Braciola di Maiale Bolognese. Far from American Bolognese, tomato was absent. Instead Bolognese here refers to the regional way of preparing this plate. A 12 oz pork chop is pounded flat, coated with egg wash and flour, then pan fried. Topped with prosciutto and parmesan and mozzarella.

The foods have that Alps region familiarity to it, which should surprise those expecting meatballs smothered in red sauce.

Even though we were full, we had to try the Salame al Cioccolato with glasses of Vino alle Ciliegie for dessert. This family recipe was very unusual and matched well with the dessert wine.

Service was exemplary - we were well cared for and a good education on the cuisine was provided by our waiter.

If you are looking for a long wait time for a table and dried pasta in a bowl with red sauce, go across the street. If you want a wonderful, cultural dining experience, give Spartaco a try.

The food and the owner are amazing. Traditional Italian food. You won't find alfredo here, just wonderful homemade pastas, calamari, dessert salami.

I’m an Italian living in Tampa, and I discovered this place while searching for one of my favorite dishes on Google. I would have never imagined finding such a hidden gem just a few miles from where I live. This is, without a doubt, the best Italian food I’ve had in the US. The quality is extremely high, and everything on the menu is amazing. The owner is truly wonderful, he takes the time to explain how each dish is prepared, and everything is clearly homemade and incredibly delicious. The server is also amazing and makes the experience even better. If you’re looking for a genuine high-quality Italian experience, this is the place to go!

A truly amazing culinary delight! We were greeted immediately with a friendly, welcoming smile. We had a party of 6 and the staff was wonderful. The menu had just the right amount of items to make ordering fun and easy. The wine and food is out of this world! This is authentic, delicious Italian food prepared from family recipes. Do yourself a favor and head on over to Davis island and visit Spartaco’s kitchen….its an awesome experience!

“Absolutely incredible experience at Spartacus! The food was authentic and full of flavor — you can really tell the passion that goes into every dish. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere made us feel like we were right in Italy. Spartaco explained (in fine detail) the full menu to us which made us feel like we’re dining in his home. What an experience!
