Bartender is so rude and literally charged me for a WATER because we weren’t ordering anything and complained that we were “taking up space” at the bar even though there was no where else to sit and plenty of seats left at the bar Also charged me extra to switch something from my friends tab onto mine Place is literally scamming for your money

i’ve been coming to Spooky for quite a while. I wanna say about four years amazing atmosphere authentically Gothic and alternative safe space very good crowd. Amazing owner but lately I’ve noticed the employees have been somewhat lacking and depressing. I understand things are not going too well in the economy But I also feel like that shouldn’t be reflected in the menu items and the ironically dead energy that some of the people give off. Waited about 20 minutes for the burger meal which again is quite a long time, especially if you’re understaffed which I understand and I get it, trust me, I work in the food industry as well; but I feel like if we have to wait this long for the food it should at least be cheaper. $16+ for a lightly seasoned burger and fries is crazy no matter how it’s marketed; especially when I can go to the store and get 1 pound of grass fed beef for $6. I’ll probably recommend to stick to the chicken tenders and the one dollar Wednesday wings if you’re ever thinking about getting food at the Spook.
We had never been to a Kava Bar so this was a new experience. The lady who made our drinks was very helpful explaining things to us about Kava. We chose this venue to try for its Goth atmosphere which they did a great job on. There were board games to play. Music was the right level so you could hear easily but set the mood still. We had a charcuterie board which was very basic with cheddar and marble cheese a meat rose with a pepperoni and a salami, grapes and ritz crackers. Perhaps our expectations are too high for charcuterie but this board at $22 was disappointing. We did not try any other food. We had a mint chip and a caramel flavoured Kava. They were both good.

I’ve lived in Tampa my whole life and didn’t know this spooky gem was ever there. Definitely worth visiting if you’re into spooky things. Make sure you check out the vending machine by the bathroom.

I’m new to the area and decided to stop in for Halloween. It was packed, and since I’d never been in there before, I was just trying to find my way around. I asked the old bald male bartender a simple question and he was weirdly rude and miserable about it. He mocked what I said and gave me an attitude for no reason. It was very uncomfortable and honestly just unnecessary. Not a great first impression.
